  • Please join us in congratulating the August 2025 Employees of the Month! “On Saturday, July 12, 2025, at approximately 0118 hours, officers from squads E1 and N1 were dispatched to the area of 8785 Centreville Road for a shooting that had just occurred. SPO Siemek was the first officer to arrive on scene. He located an individual laying on the ground behind the restaurant and learned that this person had been shot. SPO Siemek immediately began obtaining details of the incident and provided information to PSCC. While gathering information from the victim SPO Siemek began applying a tourniquet and directing additional officers. MPO Curry arrived and immediately began assisting SPO Siemek. MPO Curry located additional wounds and applied an additional tourniquet. MPO Barrett and OFC Godbold also arrived to the scene and began assisting with the treatment of the victim. OFC Godbold and MPO Curry further assessed the injuries and applied chest seals to wounds. OFC Coates assisted MPO Curry in treating a wound located on the victim’s right leg. These officers worked diligently and cooperatively displaying a high level of teamwork in providing immediate life-saving aid to this victim. Officers Godbold, Curry, Coates, and Barrett continued to provide aid even when EMS units arrived. The other responding officers provided cover ensuring a safe work space for the officers providing treatment, and began searching for witnesses and security footage. As the investigation progressed all of the officers on scene worked as a cohesive team. Eventually, review of security footage led to a room at 8691 Phoenix Drive, where subjects potentially involved were said to be located. While OFC Coates and SGT Jordan attempted contact at the room by phone, MPO Barrett coordinated an arrest team. All occupants of the room were systematically brought out of the room and detained for questioning.” SPO Siemek and MPO Curry quickly took control of the situation and administered life-saving care to the victim. In recognition of their actions, they will be awarded the Medal of Merit."
