Even the best toolmakers need new tools. American Tool and Mold (ATM) has long been a leader in high-volume, precision injection mold tooling. But to keep pace with customer demands, ATM knew they needed to modernize. That meant looking beyond traditional processes and the limitations of conventional metal 3D printing tech. What they found in Mantle was different. ATM is now using Mantle’s automated toolmaking system to: • Reduce lead times by up to 75%, • Cut tooling costs in half, • Add capacity without adding headcount, • Slash cycle times with conformal cooling. Join our upcoming webinar to hear firsthand from the ATM team on how they’re using Mantle to build a smarter, faster, more flexible shop. Only 397 days until #IMTS2026, which means you have enough time to check out Paul DiLaura, COO of Mantle, presenting their One Big Thing from IMTS 2024. Their precise steel tools are effective for injection molding, die casting, and other forms of technology. Using 3D printing and machining to automate their processes, MANTLE is ahead of the (very precise) curve. Make sure to save the date for IMTS 2026 (September 14-19, 2026): https://bit.ly/47rEXzC

Join us for an upcoming webinar with the team from American Tool and Mold, a leader in high-volume, precision injection mold tooling! After more than a decade of exploring metal 3D printing for tooling, ATM found a solution that finally made sense for their workflow in Mantle. Now they're ready to share their insights with you. What you'll learn straight from ATM's team: • How they're reducing lead times by up to 75% • Cutting tooling costs in half • Slashing cycle times by 50% with conformal cooling • Gaining additional toolmaking capacity This isn't just another marketing seminar; you'll hear firsthand from your peers, the ATM team, on why they made this strategic investment, what it's enabling them to accomplish, and ask them any questions you have. Additive manufacturing has always been challenged by a tradeoff: Fine detail or large parts… pick one. Mantle is excited to announce today you can have both using our “Top Definition” technology that delivers stunning surface finish and micro details on the top surface of parts using our automated additive + subtractive technology. The images show a large part and a tiny one, but we can also combine these together. Yesterday there wasn’t an additive technology in existence that could achieve this range from parts larger than my hand to individual details barely visible with the naked eye. All with a surface finish that approaches CNC machining smoothness. Injection molds and other tooling routinely require this breadth of size/ resolution and printing mold tools is where Mantle shines. Great work by the Mantle team bringing this enhancement to all our customers with just an over the air software update. 🏅 https://lnkd.in/gBbi-s9r Approx dimensions: Large Part: 5.00" x 3.75" x 2.25" (125mm x 100mm x 60mm) Small boss on the 1”x1” small part: 3/8" x 3/16" x 5/32" ( 10mm x 5mm x 4mm)

Mantle is pleased to announce the release of its latest software update: Top Definition. This significant enhancement to Mantle’s automated toolmaking system allows customers to print mold features as thin as 0.008″ (0.2 mm), an 80% reduction from previous limits, while also improving the as-printed strength of small features. This release comes at a time of surging industry adoption. Mantle’s bookings through mid-2025 have doubled compared to the same period in 2024. A few recent adopters include Conesys, American Tool and Mold, INTERNATIONAL PRECISION MOLDS ., P1 Technologies, Inc., and Seaway Plastics Engineering , who are turning to Mantle to increase capacity, reduce lead times, and address skilled labor shortages. Tired of waiting weeks for tooling because of sinker EDM bottlenecks? You're not alone. Traditional EDM requires: -Electrode design -Complex CAM programming -Messy graphite machining This results in extensive manual labor and lengthy tooling lead times. Mantle changes that. Our automated toolmaking system delivers EDM-sharp features—without electrodes, without burn time, and without hassle. Mantle combines CNC machining with 3D printing of tool steel to produce inserts that match EDM quality while significantly reducing lead times. Real impact: -Faster turnaround. -Lower costs. Ready to eliminate your EDM bottleneck? Check out our latest comparison blog with examples of EDM elimination. https://lnkd.in/eiFK2JRx
