A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers who helped us unload three tractor trailers full of furniture generously donated by Bain Capital, with all logistics and delivery coordinated by Bob's Discount Furniture! These pieces will soon be making their way into our residential homes, and we couldn’t have done it without everyone's support. One moment that truly touched our hearts was a reunion between Jennifer, Director of Inventory Control at Bob's Discount Furniture, and Charlie, a beloved former Bob’s employee who is now retired. Their heartfelt interaction reminded us all of the lasting impact of connection and community. Yesterday, we attended the ARC Family Hearing Day, where individuals and families came together to rally for increased funding for the IDD community and the providers who support them. It was an incredibly impactful experience hearing firsthand from families and organizations across the state about their stories. While touring the Capitol, our President and CEO, Kevin Zingler, along with MARC individuals and staff, were stopped for an interview by Fox 61. Later that night, we were featured in a segment about ARC Hearing Day! We’re grateful for the opportunity to advocate and share stories from the IDD community on such a large platform. A special thank you to House Majority Leader Jason Rojas for coordinating MARC's tour of the CT State Capitol! We also extend our gratitude to Senator MD Rahman, State Representatives Jason Doucette, Patrick Biggins, Jill Barry, and Senior Advisor Awet Tsegai for giving MARC the platform to ensure our voices were heard! 📣 #makeourvoicesheard #advocate #supportnonprofits #IDDcommunity

MARC held their 25th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Thursday, September 26th at Manchester Country Club. The rainy day didn’t stop us! MARC raised over $60,000 at this year’s tournament! Thanks to our golfers, sponsors and volunteers we are able to continue our efforts of enhancing opportunities and inclusion of people with disabilities throughout our community.
