About us
Launched in 2015, MasterClass is the streaming platform where anyone can learn from the world's best. With an annual membership, subscribers get unlimited access to instructors and classes across a wide range of subjects including Arts & Entertainment, Business, Design & Style, Sports & Gaming, Writing and more. Step into Anna Wintour’s office, and Ron Finley’s garden. Get inspired by RuPaul, perfect your pitch with Shonda Rhimes, and discover your inner negotiator with Chris Voss. Each class features about 20 video lessons, at an average of 10 minutes per lesson. You can learn on your own terms — in bite-sized pieces or binge it all at once. Cinematic visuals and close-up, hands-on demonstrations make you feel one-on-one with the instructors, while the downloadable workbooks help reinforce your learning. With MasterClass, you can stream thousands of lessons anywhere, anytime, on mobile, desktop and TV.

If you’re waiting for your work to be perfect before you share it, you’ll be waiting forever. One clever solution? Normalize the “V0. Crap” draft. It’s not a finished product, it’s an invitation. A way to say: this is my first sketch, help me shape it. The result: A culture where progress beats perfection. The biggest enemy of creativity? The pressure to sound smart. Astro Teller, Captain of Moonshots at X, The Moonshot Factory, says that’s why "bad idea brainstorms" matter. The goal isn’t to collect bad ideas, it’s to lower the pressure to sound smart and to push your inner critic out of the room so imagination can take over. If your goal is to get a monkey to stand on a pedestal and recite Shakespeare…Do you build the pedestal first, or train the monkey? Astro Teller explains how the team at X, The Moonshot Factory uses this metaphor to remind themselves where to start every project: with the riskiest, hardest part of the problem. Pedestals are easy. The monkey is the work. Where’s your “monkey” right now? More: https://lnkd.in/g9ndaVG2

"The ideas that shaped my service don’t belong only to the military." General Stan McChrystal's leadership lessons on trust, adaptability, empowering others resonate across every field. We’re honored to share his class where he teaches how to lead faster, move smarter, and build stronger teams. Coming Thursday, September 25 to #MasterClass
For those who know me, you know that standing in front of a camera—while a twenty-something photographer tells me what to do with my arms and what expression to wear—is about as close to a nightmare as I can imagine. I never set out to be on camera, much less to package leadership lessons into a class. It doesn’t exactly fit the mental image of a career soldier. So why did I do it? Because the ideas that shaped my service—trust, adaptability, empowering others—don’t belong only to the military. That’s where I first learned and tested them, but over time I’ve seen how they resonate with executives from every industry, teachers, doctors, parents—even entire communities. Anyone leading through complexity and pressure faces the same challenges. That’s why I agreed to this project. In my MasterClass, I teach how to lead faster, move smarter, and build teams that thrive under pressure. I believe these lessons need to live on, in ways that reach far beyond my own voice. One day, I won’t be here to share them. But if this class helps someone build a stronger team, face uncertainty with confidence, or lead with character when it matters most—then it’s worth every moment.
