Women’s heart health doesn’t live in a campaign. It lives in the women who power our workplaces, care for our families, and hold our communities together. Too often, heart disease is still misunderstood, even though it remains the leading cause of death for women in the U.S. Not because people don’t care. But because women don’t always see themselves at risk. And that’s why this conversation can’t live in a single day or a single month. Wearing red is just one expression of something much bigger. At MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center, our care teams came together to show support for women’s heart health, holding simple messages as a reminder of who this work is for: “I stand for you.” “I stand for my community.” Not for one person. For every woman we serve: ❤️ The colleague ❤️ The mother ❤️ The partner ❤️ The employee ❤️ The leader For the women who show up every day, often for everyone else first. Because the heartbeat of healthcare isn’t found in systems or statistics. It lives in people — and in the moments when care moves beyond our walls. This is what it looks like when healthcare becomes human again. When employers, communities, and care teams align around prevention, access, and trust before a diagnosis forces the conversation. For our employers, brokers, and community partners, we're listening. When it comes to women’s heart health in the workforce, what’s the biggest gap you’re seeing today? We’re proud to share that our MemorialCare Orange Coast Medical Center is the only hospital in Orange County to earn six consecutive three-star ratings from The Society of Thoracic Surgeons for coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and Multi-Procedural cases for the second consecutive time. “Maintaining a three-star rating year after year demands discipline, vigilance, and heart,” says Dr. Tuan Lam, Cardiothoracic Surgeon at our MemorialCare Heart & Vascular Institute, Orange Coast Medical Center. “These ratings prove that elite outcomes are not reserved for the biggest hospitals, rather they are achieved through the dedication of skilled teams.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/g-eE5cqU
