As the US Navy expands the deployment of multi-class unmanned surface vessels, equipping them with configurable, low-cost, expendable electronic warfare capabilities will be essential to ensuring their survivability and operational effectiveness. Mercury appreciates the leadership of U.S. Rep. Juan Ciscomani, who introduced language to the FY26 National Defense Authorization Act that would direct the Navy to assess the technical needs and develop an acquisition strategy for these capabilities within 90 days of the Act’s passage.
