  • We’d like to share an important update with our valued patients who have Humana Managed Medicaid or Medicare Advantage insurance coverage. We’re in active negotiations with Humana and are committed to a fair resolution that ensures you and your family continue receiving the high-quality care you deserve. Your health is our priority, and we’re doing everything we can to maintain your in-network access to the Mercy Health facilities and caregivers you know and trust. If an agreement isn't reached before December 1, 2025, Mercy Health will become out-of-network for Humana Managed Medicaid and Medicare Advantage plans. For details on how this may affect you and what actions you can take, please visit https://lnkd.in/gfvr6hfD.

  • Skylar Clark, a senior at Mercy High School in Michigan, had big plans for her semester—including a flag football showdown with her rival school. But when a torn ACL threatened to sideline her season, the teams in Mercy Health -- Toledo stepped in with the kind of care that goes beyond clinical. From expedited imaging to personalized treatment, Skylar’s journey was powered by innovation and compassion. Within days of her injury, she was evaluated by Rebekah Swartz, PA-C, who not only ordered her MRI but also aspirated her knee to relieve pain—something no other provider she’d seen had offered. She was fitted with a brace immediately, helping her regain mobility faster. James Lyions, MD guided her through every step, recommending pre-hab to optimize her recovery and ensuring Skylar felt informed and supported. Even on surgery day, our team kept her family updated proactively, turning a stressful moment into one of reassurance. Skylar’s story is a powerful reminder of what happens when care is coordinated, timely, innovative and deeply human.

  • The Mercy Health - The Jewish Hospital (Cincinnati, Ohio) is deepening its collaboration with local fire departments and EMS teams by providing hands-on simulation training both on-site and in the hospital’s simulation lab. Using advanced manikins and real-world scenarios, these sessions help first responders practice critical skills in a safe environment before transitioning to fieldwork. Most recently, new EMTs from the Cincinnati Fire Department trained in the simulation lab on Aug. 11, reinforcing readiness for frontline emergency care. In addition to hosting teams, staff frequently bring training directly to local firehouses, further strengthening partnerships and community ties. Community engagement efforts also extend beyond training. Team members have been active at events like the Warren County Night Out in South Lebanon, helping raise awareness of Mercy Health - Kings Mills Hospital and showcasing a shared commitment to improving access to care.

  • We are committed to providing convenient and accessible care to our patients and our community. Recently recognized by Alan Ayers, national expert in urgent care strategy, operations and technology, for the smart site selection of our Mercy Health Urgent Care, Fairfield and Mercy Health Urgent Care, Eastgate locations, adjacent to Jungle Jim's International Market in our Cincinnati, Ohio market, Alan breaks down why these locations are prime spots beside a frequently visited Ohio retail destination: ✅ Destination-level foot traffic → Jungle Jim’s draws visitors from across the region (and beyond), lifting brand visibility and walk-in volume. ✅ One-trip convenience → Treat, then pick up OTC meds, hydration, and home-care supplies in the same stop. ✅ Event-driven demand → Store tours, tastings, and special events create weekend surges and steady cadence. ✅ Great access → Abundant, well-lit parking and long retail hours align with urgent care’s 7-day model. ✅ Cross-promo potential → Co-branded health fairs, vaccine drives, coupons/receipts, and in-store signage. ✅ On-site incident capture → Immediate care for cuts, sprains, and minor issues for locals and visitors. ✅ Employer/Occ Health → Proximity to a large retail workforce supports physicals, screenings, and injury care. Our urgent care sites at Fairfield and Eastgate also include occupational health and orthopedic after-hours specialties, creating convenient, high-quality, seamless care across multiple needs for patients and the community. We are grateful for the recognition of the work our Urgent Care teams are doing to meet patients where they are.

      +1
  • We lift our hearts in prayer to God, to help bring peace and comfort to those who are hurting today. There is no place in our society for the type of violent acts we've seen recently, yet we still find ourselves mourning the many lives senselessly lost. God, be with those who are hurting. You are the great Comforter, and today, we ask for your comfort and strength.
