📌 MULTIPLY at the Algae Industry Summit 2025 in Berlin! Last week, MULTIPLY project joined the Algae Industry Summit, where key players from across the algae sector shared insights on both #microalgae and #macroalgae. Represented by A4F-Algae for Future and SUBMARINER Network for Blue Growth EEIG Network, we networked, exchanged views, and handed out MULTIPLY flyers at the SUBMARINER stand. From seaweed crackers and Spirulina ice cream, to textiles, biopackaging, and cosmetics, the summit showcased just how many real applications algae already has. 🟢 It was a solid reminder of the work ahead—and a boost to keep going. There’s still plenty to do, but we’re moving in the right direction. #EU4Algae #EUProjects #CBEJU
MULTIPLY project
Biotechnology Research
Multiplying feasible microalgae-derived products at scale
About us
The MULTIPLY project showcases sustainable and cost-effective microalgae cultivation across Europe, using different species to develop products for food, feed, cosmetics, lubricants and biomaterials. Funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe programme, and supported by the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) and its members, the project brings together partners from both Northern and Southern Europe to reduce production costs, enhance circularity, and develop 10 algae-based products. By actively engaging the public and preparing the market, it represents a key step toward advancing Europe’s bio-based economy. The project is supported by the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking and its members. Funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or CBE JU. Neither the European Union nor the CBE JU can be held responsible for them.
