The #FireSat program would not be possible without enthusiastic collaboration and support from the #wildfire community and Alliance partners such as Google Research and Google.org, who championed FireSat this week at Google's I/O conference: 💬 "So many of us know someone who has been affected by wildfires," said Google CEO Sundar Pichai during his keynote address. "They can start suddenly and grow out of control in a matter of minutes. Speed and precision can make all the difference." 💬 FireSat, built by Muon Space, is designed to be a game-changer for worldwide wildfire detection and response by: 🚗 Identifying wildfires as small as 270 square feet, about the size of a 1-car garage. ⏳ Reducing global revisit rates from hours or even days to mere minutes. Muon Space is accelerating its mission cadence in 2025 with plans to launch five Halo™ satellites, including our upcoming Customer Halo Mission on SpaceX T14 and major progress on our Vindlér Block 2 constellation. We’re also proud to announce an expanded partnership with the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) through a Stage II contract modifications under the Strategic Commercial Enhancements framework, enabling end-to-end demonstrations of our EO/IR capabilities and strengthening our role in national security space.
