Thank you to the City Club of Cleveland for hosting President & CEO Domonic Hopson , MPH, FACHE on a panel of distinguished leaders for a critical conversation on Medicaid expansion and the looming “trigger point.” What’s at stake if Ohio eliminates expanded Medicaid coverage? Over 770,000 Ohioans could lose access to care—putting patients, communities, and our economy at serious risk.

About us
Neighborhood Family Practice was founded in 1980 in response to a concern that residents of Cleveland’s near west side lacked access to primary health care. A Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), NFP focuses on providing high quality primary care in a medical home setting. As a health care provider, our seven convenient locations offer same day appointments. The NFP service area spans twelve neighborhoods across Cleveland and Lakewood and is comprised of a very diverse mix of residents. NFP accepts Medicaid, Medicare, most commercial insurance plans and offers a financial assistance program (sliding fee scale) for the uninsured. Neighborhood Family Practice is a grantee of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and each of its locations are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA).

Partnerships make progress possible. At Neighborhood Family Practice, we’re proud to support community events that open doors to wellness and bring people together on the journey to better health. Recently, we attended two impactful events: 🚲 The annual Stockyards Bike-a-Thon, hosted by Metro West CDO, where local students received bikes, helmets, safety education, and free repairs—making health and activity more accessible for families in the Stockyard neighborhood. 💜 A Life of Hope Outreach’s Women’s Day of Health & Wellness, held at a CMHA location, offered women a day of rest, connection, and care—featuring fun activities and access to vital community resources. These events remind us that when we partner with those who care deeply, we create real impact—and healthier futures—for our neighbors.
