Meet Alana Fragar Moore, Nelnet’s AI Engagement Program Manager. Alana plays a pivotal role in helping associates thrive in an AI-powered workplace. She hosts learning events, helps lead a community of passionate Copilot Champions, and shares real stories of how Nelnet associates are saving time and supercharging everyday tasks with AI. Her work enables teams to unlock creativity, improve productivity, and build confidence using generative AI tools. Her efforts are part of a broader transformation happening across Nelnet. The company has adopted Microsoft 365 Copilot as its enterprise-wide generative AI platform. While Copilot is widely known for its generative capabilities, associates are also using it to build and deploy agents—unlocking new possibilities for automation and personalized support across teams. To support this shift, Nelnet launched an internal AI Resource Center and AI Learning Center. These platforms provide associates with curated training, guidance on responsible use, and opportunities to experiment with AI in their roles. Innovation is also happening at the product level. Proprietary tools like OWL and BEAR, introduced at the Nebraska AI & Data Summit, are helping streamline operations and deliver measurable savings. AI-powered virtual agents and intelligent search features are already improving customer service and internal workflows. As Nelnet continues to scale its AI strategy, Alana’s role ensures that associates are not just equipped with tools but empowered with knowledge. Her role is strengthened by collaboration with the Associate Experience Team, the Microsoft Application Platform & Productivity Solution Team, and the AI Center of Excellence. Their support ensures AI initiatives are aligned, impactful, and responsibly executed. Together, these efforts are shaping a more agile and innovative workplace. #ArtificialIntelligence #DiversificationAndGrowth #InnovationAtNelnet

We’re proud that so many Nelnet associates took on the Nebraska Market to Market 75-mile relay this past weekend. From sunrise to finish line, our teams showed up with energy, teamwork, and determination—just like they do every day at Nelnet. We believe wellness and community go hand in hand. That’s why we support our associates in pursuing personal goals, engaging with local events, and building connections that strengthen our communities. Whether it’s through wellness initiatives or opportunities to give back, we’re proud to invest in the whole person. From workdays to race days, we’re behind our Nelnet team all the way. #MarketToMarket #AssociateWellness #LifeAtNelnet

At Nelnet, giving back isn’t just something we do. It’s part of who we are. Nelnet’s annual United Way campaign is a meaningful reflection of our commitment to supporting the communities we call home. In 2025, associates raised more than $1 million to fund local United Way chapters and nonprofits across the country. Every dollar donated was matched, and first-time donors saw their contributions doubled. These efforts reflect the values that guide our work every day. #GiveBack #LifeAtNelnet

All In Week reminded us of what makes Nelnet special—our people. With 30+ events and 15 tailgates, we celebrated culture, connection, and creativity. Associates across all locations had the opportunity to engage in webinars, town halls, benefits sessions, and wellness-focused events: each designed to spark learning and build community. Thank you to our keynote speaker Kaiser Yang for kicking off the week and inspiring us to lead with creativity. #AllInWeek #LifeAtNelnet

From interns to innovators, the Catalyst interns are redefining what’s possible. At Nelnet, innovation is more than a value. It’s a mindset. This summer, our Catalyst interns—Maddock, Angela, Elizeh, Alaa, and Kenny—embraced that mindset and made a lasting impact. From solving coding challenges to crafting financial strategies, they accelerated key projects, uncovered new opportunities, and brought fresh perspectives to every task. Their work is helping shape the future of Nelnet. We’re proud of their accomplishments and excited to see what comes next. The future is bright, and it’s being built right here at Nelnet. #LoveWhereYouIntern #InnovationInAction #LifeAtNelnet

Over 30 Nelnet associates from across the country took on the gravel roads of Nebraska during the annual Gravel Worlds bike race, participating in both the 75-mile and 35-mile events. This event was more than a physical challenge. It was a meaningful opportunity to promote associate wellness, strengthen connections, and engage with local communities. Nelnet jerseys were a common sight, and the presence of our associates didn’t go unnoticed. As Nelnet associate Tara Duggar shared, “It’s clear that events like Gravel Worlds offer more than just a workout. They build community, foster pride, and create lasting memories.” At Nelnet, we’re proud to support events that align with our values and offer associates opportunities to get involved through local initiatives. In a world that moves fast, Empower Hour is our intentional pause. It’s a space to reflect, connect, and grow. Once a month, associates gather for real conversations about the topics that challenge us, inspire us, and unite us. It’s where voices are heard, ideas take root, and personal and professional growth go hand in hand. These sessions aren’t just for leaders. They’re for everyone. By sharing perspectives and stories, we strengthen relationships, build belonging, and show that leadership starts with courage and connection. See how Nelnet associate Rachel Abell explains the "Why" behind Empower Hour. #BelongingAtWork #AssociateExperience #ContinuousLearning
