About us
Our single goal is to do exceptional work inspired by our clients and the opportunities they present to create meaningful and memorable places. For over 35 years the leaders of Nelsen Partners have worked together on projects throughout the US and around the world. Nelsen Partners provides architecture, interiors, planning, and urban design services for projects ranging from mixed-use developments and master-planned urban centers, to retail developments, office buildings, residential towers, hotels, performing arts venues, and restaurants. The firm, led by thirteen partners and associates, provides its services from offices in Austin and Phoenix. We are a practice consisting of experienced professionals, inspired by the enthusiasm of talented young architects who keep our ideas fresh and expand our vision. We take pride in the contributions of our team members, working collaboratively to engage and integrate their experience, knowledge, vision and innovation in our design process. The expertise gained on hundreds of projects combined with a commitment to exceptional service has built the foundation for the firm to continue its growth and expansion. Timeless design elevated by precision lighting. The Global Ambassador Hotel, nestled in the desert landscapes of Arizona, is a new luxury destination defined by classic materials and bold architectural statements-from its white brick façade and wrought-iron details to the dramatic cantilevered porte cochère. Lighting plays a critical role in the guest experience, turning the structure into a theatrical composition after dusk. The design team at Francis Krahe & Associates selected over 400 Keplero 50 recessed in-ground fixtures to illuminate the balconies and exterior spaces with precision. Compact and discreet, the Keplero 50 features a beveled stainless steel trim with no visible screws, offering clean integration with architectural elements. Its spot optic provides controlled, focused beams-perfect for accenting the hotel’s Juliet balconies and suite terraces without overwhelming the design. An elegant example of how thoughtful lighting can shape the perception of space and enhance architectural expression. We’ve officially reached the halfway point of the ARF Summer Learning Program, and we’re so grateful for the incredible volunteers who’ve supported our work this summer! A huge thank you to the teams from Nelsen Partners | Architects & Planners, Shop LC, Truist, Tiff's Treats Cookie Delivery, and Brown Advisory, and to our dedicated Leadership Council and Opportunity Matters Giving Circle members, for showing up and making a difference. Thanks to our partnership with Brighter Bites, volunteers have helped us package and distribute over 8,000 pounds of fresh produce for ARF families. The impact doesn’t stop there each week, our youth participate in cooking lessons during the Summer Learning Program using the ingredients sent home, with fun themes like “Eat the Rainbow” that teach healthy habits in engaging, hands-on ways.
