Updates

  • Earlier this month, the New Era Cap Foundation hosted our 2nd Annual Employee Golf Outing, an event that brought employees together for a fun day of golf, lessons, and yard games, all while supporting our local community. As part of the event, participating employees helped select the nonprofit beneficiaries, and we’re excited to announce this year’s recipients: Rachael Warrior Foundation and the Jason Arno Memorial Foundation. The Rachael Warrior Foundation provides vital support to individuals in crisis due to domestic violence, while the Jason Arno Memorial Foundation offers resources, financial assistance, and community advocacy for first responders and their families. The New Era Cap Foundation is honored to contribute to the meaningful work of these two organizations. A heartfelt thank you to all our employees who participated and helped make this year’s golf outing a success!

  • This back-to-school season, New Era employees partnered with The Teacher's Desk to assemble supply and hygiene kits for local students heading back to school. The Teacher’s Desk operates a store that allows educators to shop free of charge for school supplies, books, and classroom resources that support students in need across more than 250 Western New York schools. Its mission is to provide essential materials to students, encourage and empower teachers, and create meaningful opportunities for community volunteerism. Together, our team proudly packed 150 New Era backpacks and over 1,000 hygiene kits. We extend our sincere appreciation to the team at The Teacher’s Desk for their partnership and welcoming us into their space!

  • For NFL Week Five against the New England Patriots, Josh Allen will be wearing Bryn’s cap. Bryn was diagnosed with Leukemia and a rare gene mutation that made her more resistant to typical chemotherapy treatments. Through this rough battle, Bryn never gave up hope, constantly making her own light in the dark. This courage and fearless attitude have made her an inspiration for those around her. While at John R. Oishei Children's Hospital, players on the Buffalo Bills got the chance to meet with Bryn, who shared with them her passion for giving tattoos and manicures to those around her. Bryn made sure the team left with her best work. Her one-of-a-kind cap features her talents and love for the Bills through hearts, flowers, and stars.     All proceeds raised from this auction will be donated to the Patricia Allen Fund, which benefits OCH’s critical care teams. Place your bid now to support Bryn and the future of many others.

  • In collaboration with John R. Oishei Children's Hospital and the Patricia Allen Fund, Josh Allen will wear nine unique 9FORTY® Billustration Team Caps that have been specially customized by OCH patients to each Bills home game. For week three against the Miami Dolphins, Josh wore MaKenzie’s cap.    MaKenzie was diagnosed with sickle cell anemia after a routine newborn screening, but she hasn’t allowed the severe blood disorder to define her future. Inspired by the level of care she receives from the hematology doctors at OCH, MaKenzie wants to be a nurse when she gets older – specifically for cardiac care. MaKenzie is especially excited for Josh to wear her cap during the month of September, which is Sickle Cell Awareness Month. Her artistic ability is on full display with her design, featuring colorful flowers and a Sickle Cell Awareness ribbon.

  • New Era employees recently partnered with Hospice & Palliative Care Buffalo to revitalize one of the garden spaces on their campus. Located outside several patient rooms, this garden offers a peaceful, restorative setting for patients and their loved ones. Our team was honored to lend a hand in refreshing this meaningful space, and we look forward to continuing to partner with Hospice through the New Era Cap Foundation’s support of their Pathways of Remembrance project.

On August 27th, Team New Era was proud to be recognized for surpassing $500,000 raised during the 30-year history of the Ride for Roswell. Each year, our employees come together as Team New Era, riding to support Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Park while raising vital funds and awareness for cancer research and patient care. Former team captains Kristen Fedick and Camila Eskew were in attendance to accept a commemorative brick honoring this incredible milestone. We are grateful to every past and present employee who has joined Team New Era over the years, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to giving back and making a meaningful impact in our community.

  • This past week, New Era employees joined forces with the New Era Cap Foundation and HOPE TOTES to pack 545 totes and New Era backpacks for local medical and community facilities. Each bag will be given to caregivers and patients navigating a medical diagnosis and is filled with comfort items like a New Era cap, blanket, slippers, medical binder, hygiene kit, journal, and more. These packing parties are more than just events—they’re acts of compassion. Every tote and backpack represent a real person facing a challenging moment, and a reminder that they are not alone. We’re proud to partner with Hope Totes in their beautiful mission of care and support, and grateful they trust New Era to host one of their annual packing parties.

  • Let’s go Buffalo! New Era was proud to team up with the BUFFALO BILLS FOUNDATION INC and Make-A-Wish Metro New York and Western New York to welcome two incredible families to our headquarters for a memorable experience ahead of their wishes to meet the Buffalo Bills. Wish kids Maylee and Joseph enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of our office, were treated to plenty of Bills swag, and even had the chance to design their own custom Bills caps to celebrate their wish journeys. After their visit to New Era, they headed to Highmark Stadium to meet the team and step onto the field as honorary captains. Our team was truly impressed by Maylee and Joseph’s creativity, and we can’t wait to see their custom caps come to life very soon!
