We need to be intentional about our practice—focusing on quality and purpose so that our efforts lead to the results we’re aiming for when it’s time to perform. One of the best ways to ensure your reps are paying off? Feedback. This week’s Service System training really highlighted the power of feedback. What stood out to me most was the collective openness to not just give feedback, but also to receive it with grace and immediately apply it to improve. That’s where real progress happens

One powerful question he posed: As leaders, how do we want our change-of-command ceremony to look, filled with cheers or tears? Our friends with Explore The Trades - Kate Cinnamo and Lauren Martin - hosted an inspiring panel on the future of skilled trades. We heard firsthand from a passionate educator and a rising student, and the audience was asked to reflect on how each of us can help bring more young people into the trades to build the future of our industry. At the Nexstar Network Super Meeting 2025, I noticed something that may seem small to some, but felt huge to me: their promotional material included a woman technician. Not long ago at another tradeshow, a vendor looked at me and said: “They let you out of the office, little lady?” At that point in my career, I was spending most of my days in the field with my team and that one comment diminished all of that. That’s why this moment stood out. Because in a male-dominated industry, representation isn’t just nice to have, it’s powerful. Seeing an organization like Nexstar acknowledge that women belong here too matters. It’s not just an image, it’s an invitation.
