  • Communicating science isn’t always easy—but it’s definitely worth it (and even a little fun)! We had a great time meeting the students at the University of L’Aquila to talk about the BOOST Project. We shared how BOOST is paving the way for the first commercial plant of its kind, using MyRemono’s NXRe PMMA modular technology. Right here in Abruzzo, we’re establishing a center of excellence dedicated to the chemical recycling of plastics—a major step forward in advancing circular economy solutions and sustainable innovation. This pioneering project, funded by the Innovation Fund and supported by CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency, focuses on the chemical recycling of PMMA waste into high-purity r-MMA. Last December, we amplified its impact by joining a new EU network for PMMA recycling and signing a strategic collaboration with Roehm, the inventor of MMA/PMMA chemistry and a global leader in the field. A big thank you to Università degli Studi dell'Aquila for the warm hospitality, and to all the students for your curiosity, enthusiasm, and great vibes! Special thanks to Franca Caligine, Enrico De Dominicis and Luciano Mucci for bringing the BOOST energy! #BOOSTProject #CircularEconomy #NEXTCHEM

⚓ Who said waste can’t sail? At #PRCEurope2025, Andrea Angeletti showed how methanol from waste is already shaping the future of maritime fuel. He presented a clear and practical vision: circular methanol as a key solution to decarbonise shipping. Andrea highlighted real-world applications of the circular economy and the proven potential of waste-to-methanol technologies. Our NX Circular™ technology is one example, turning syngas from waste into low-carbon chemicals and fuels—bridging the gap between waste management and energy production.   Thank you to Alessia Borgogna for moderating the session and helping showcase how NEXTCHEM is putting innovation into action.   The fuel of the future isn’t extracted—it’s engineered from waste. #EnergyTransition #NEXTCHEM

  • Sharing our passion for plastics – the good kind – with Gen Z! Our Yuri Gabriel S. recently stepped into the classroom to bring the NEXTCHEM perspective on sustainable innovation to the next generation of chemical engineers. One word: CONSER Technology "DUETTO". CONSER flagship technology for process intensification makes the production of PBS (a biodegradable plastic) more efficient, more sustainable, and more cost-effective. Here’s where it happened: ➡️ May 7–8 – Expert School organized by UNINA as part of the Erasmus+ InnoLAB: Innovative Learning Across Borders project, focused on rethinking how we teach industrial chemistry through interdisciplinary and international exchange. The event, involving several European Universities and other partners, had its core topics in the fields of sustainability, life cycle analysis, process intensification and digitalization. ➡️ May 16 – Open Day at Sapienza University of Rome, where Yuri Gabriel shared his journey from student to professional – and what it’s like working at the edge of sustainable chemical engineering. We’re proud to keep building bridges between academia and industry – and even prouder to back the next wave of talent ready to shape the future. Yes, we still love plastics – when they’re smart and circular. #NEXTCHEM #FutureOfChemistry

  • Even familiar molecules can surprise you when reimagined. Meet… Ammonia (again)!   If you’ve seen this already, consider it a quick refresher: Ammonia plays a vital role in global food production, but traditional production methods are highly carbon-intensive—accounting for 1.8% of global CO₂ emissions.   At NEXTCHEM, we’re changing the game with two low-carbon pathways: ➡️ Starting from natural gas but capturing CO₂ with our proprietary technology ➡️ Going zero-carbon with NX Stami™ Green Ammonia—starting from air, water, and renewable energy.   And there’s more: Ammonia is also emerging as a clean fuel, with huge potential in energy storage and transport. This quick video breaks it down—if you have any questions about how ammonia can become a part of the energy transition, hit us up in the comments.   #NEXTCHEM

  • Why not turn trash into molecules that matter? Methanol is already shaking things up, so now let's turn trash into cash! NX Circular™ technology takes waste—from urban to agricultural—and turns it into syngas, a powerful mix of hydrogen and carbon monoxide. Syngas can be the building block for producing methanol and ammonia, which we already know are a clean fuels and the key to decarbonizing shipping, aviation, and more. With NX Circular™, we’re bridging the gap between waste management and sustainable fuel production, reducing CO₂ emissions by avoiding waste incineration. Our tech benefits: ➡️ Works with any solid waste, whether it’s urban, industrial, or agricultural. ➡️ No tar, just clean syngas perfect for methanol production. ➡️ Reduce emissions, earn through waste fees, and create high-value final products like methanol. If you have any questions about how waste management can become a part of the energy transition, hit us up in the comments. #TechnologyMadeEasy #EnergyTransition #NEXTCHEM

Can Methanol Help Decarbonize Shipping? 🚢 Container ships keep global trade moving, but they run on marine diesel, emitting 3% of global greenhouse gas emissions. What if we switched to low-carbon methanol? Methanol burns cleaner than diesel and can be made from renewable sources. But today, most methanol still comes from fossil fuels. We can change that! With our technologies, we can produce low-carbon methanol in two ways: ➡️ From waste & biomass (yes, even trash!) with our NX Circular technology. ➡️ From low-carbon hydrogen, using our NX AdWinMethanol Suite. Methanol is already available in 100+ ports, making it a real solution for shipping. At NEXTCHEM, we’re making it happen. This is #TechnologyMadeEasy, showing how our technology can drive the #EnergyTransition and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. Check out the video to learn more! 🚀 #NEXTCHEM

  • Singapore, get ready to fly with us! ✈️ We’re live at the ARGUS Biofuels & Feedstock Asia Conference to unveil our project for a Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) plant in North Sumatra, Indonesia! 📍 ➡️ Our Giovanni Squassabia hit the stage to show how regional SAF plants could significantly contribute to reducing carbon emissions in the aviation industry, offering a more efficient solution with one of the lowest GHG emissions in the market. With cutting-edge PreTreatment technology, we can make it more economically sustainable too. So, we’re not just building a plant — we’re building a more sustainable, efficient, and economically sound future for biofuels. Because hey — someone’s gotta fuel the future planes, and we’re all in. #SustainableAviation #EnergyTransition #NEXTCHEM

Let’s talk Carbon Management. Don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. Believe in tailored, smart solutions that capture carbon where it shows up—before combustion, after combustion, and even beyond. CO₂ is produced in different ways—so we tackle it from every angle. Our technologies for Carbon Management are designed to handle every stage of the CO₂ journey, combining cryogenic innovation, chemical absorption, and liquefaction. Here’s how we do it: ➡️Capture CO₂ straight from the fuel gas—before it’s even burned. Our top pick: the Cold Methanol Loop CO₂ capture system, optimized for process gas pressures up to 70 bar. ➡️Extract CO₂ directly from flue gases—when the heat is already on. Our top pick: the amine-based absorption CO₂ capture technology empowered by our proprietary integrated scheme. ➡️CO₂ capture in diverse industries like biogas upgrading, hydrogen production and biomass gasification. We especially like the “hard-to-abate” ones, the more difficult the better. Our top pick: all our solutions in partnership with Linde . ➡️When CO₂ needs to move, we make it flow. Our top pick: the innovative CO₂ liquefaction process, optimized for large-scale applications by exploiting CO₂ as a refrigerant fluid.
