NexTier Bank's Human Resources Administrator/Recruiter Hannah Shannon was recently awarded the 2024 Junior Distinguished Service Award by the Rotary Club of Butler and the Butler Eagle. Hannah currently serves as the Treasurer and Vendor Coordinator of Butler Downtown where she revived Foodie Fridays and coordinates Sips in the City. She sits on the Board of Directors for Butler County Young Professionals and Leadership Butler County. In addition, she participates in events such as Main Street Clean Up Days and has volunteered with United Way's Week of Caring with the Armstrong County Habitat for Humanity and HAVIN's 2nd Chance Shop, United Way's Build-A-Bike, and the Center for Community Resources' Bundle Up Butler, among other organizations' events. NexTier Bank recently hosted Mars Area School District's High School Learning Support Students at NexTier Center as part of the Teach Children to Save Program. Students toured the vault, learned how a branch operates, about savings and spending habits, budgeting in the real world, and fraud and scams, how to write a check, and played an interactive game.
