  • North Mississippi Health Services is pleased to welcome Dr. Samuel J. Holdiness to our medical team. Dr. Holdiness will provide care for patients at the clinics in New Albany, Pontotoc and Oxford. A native of Kosciusko, Dr. Holdiness graduated from Kosciusko High School in 2003 and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi in 2006. He completed medical school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson and went on to finish his residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Greenville Health System in Greenville, South Carolina.   • At North Mississippi Health Services, nurse manager Megan Hastings leads her team with the guiding principles of her True North - a shared vision that nursing is more than a career, it's a calling. Megan believes that having one common goal with her team is their key to success and this is why they put the patient experience at the forefront. "True North means the direction that we all want to go – having one common goal and clear direction putting our patients first,” she explains. “I think as an employee, leader or family member, that’s what we all want.” Under her leadership, Megan ensures that her team has the resources they need to provide the best patient care possible. "NMHS does a good job of making sure our nursing staff is supported, that we have the resources that we need. We’ve gotten really creative over the last couple of years to make sure we have the right people at the table," she shares.   • Neurology Consultants of North Mississippi welcomes Dr. Sachin M. Bhagavan, a neurologist who specializes in treating strokes and other blood vessel disorders of the brain, spine and neck. Dr. Bhagavan graduated from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute in India in 2015 and completed a neurology residency at University of Missouri Health Care in Columbia. He completed fellowship training in both vascular neurology and interventional neurology at Michigan State University in Lansing. His clinical interests include treating stroke, brain aneurysm, blocked arteries in the neck and spine, and unusual blood vessel formations in the brain and spinal cord.
