Congratulations to our Chief Social Impact Officer Shana Hayes on receiving the Norman H. Stone Lifetime Achievement Award! She was honored this week by All Chicago Making Homelessness History in recognition of her philanthropic leadership. Chairman and CEO Mike O’Grady joined our Limerick team this month to assemble gift boxes for TEAM HOPE -- helping bring joy to children in 14+ countries across Africa and Eastern Europe this holiday season. This is just one way Northern Trust is giving back during Achieving Greater Together, our annual month of service. For every hour of volunteer time logged by Northern Trust employees in October, 50 meals will be donated to those in need. From packing gifts to supporting food banks and beyond, our teams are stepping up to serve communities around the world. #NTGivesBack

We're thrilled to welcome our 2025 apprentices at Northern Trust London 💚 Last week, our program welcomed Jack Clark, Maya Kaur Rihal, Savannah McKenzie, Ella Scott-Brown and Ralph White who have joined our teams across Transfer Agency, Fund Accounting, Depositary, and our Institutional Investor Group. “Working in partnership with Investment20/20, the goal of this program is to immerse the students with real work experience while studying their Investment Operations Certificate level 3 qualification. We believe that learning is essential for their development, and therefore, specialized training and a robust support system are provided by their manager, team, workplace mentor, early careers consultant, academic mentors, and lecturers.” Jessica O'Brien - early careers lead for EMEA. Northern Trust India Hosts First Industry ERG Summit with Pride Circle 💚 We were proud to host the first-ever industry-wide Employee Resource Group (ERG) Summit in partnership with Pride Circle India — bringing together more than 100 attendees from diverse organizations and sectors. The day kicked off with an inspiring keynote from a senior industry leader, who shared how Indian culture and traditions shape local inclusion frameworks. This was followed by two dynamic panel discussions: 🔹 One explored the future of ERGs, featuring Mellener Anne Coelho, regional inclusion manager for APAC, who shared how our Business Resource Councils (BRCs) are driving inclusion 🔹 The other tackled hybrid work and the challenge of engaging Gen Z Participants also joined four interactive brainstorming sessions on how employee networks can influence: ⚓Talent acquisition ⚓Policies and benefits ⚓Well-being ⚓Communication and branding The event featured a master class on AI’s role in employee engagement and a powerful street play on inclusion. 💬 “At Northern Trust, our Business Resource Councils play an important role in fostering an inclusive culture. I am thrilled to see our offices in India host this summit and further the dialogue on how these networks can enhance our partner experience and drive impactful initiatives.” Deidra Jenkins, global inclusion officer, Northern Trust. October is Achieving Greater Together at Northern Trust, our annual global month of service. So far, our employees have been out in their communities building playhouses for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles, cleaning wild habitats with Wildlife SOS in Bangalore, packing care kits with The Night Ministry in Chicago, and preparing more than 45,000 meals at Our Big Kitchen in Sydney and with Rise Against Hunger in London.
