Connecting early stage companies with accredited angel investors.
About us
For more than a decade, the North Texas Angel Network (NTAN) has connected early stage companies with angel investors to help private investors make private deals with private companies. Over its 10-year history, NTAN members have invested in excess of $10 million into startup organizations. Notable investments, totaling more than $1 million each from NTAN members, include Ikonopedia, Natural Dental Implants, Tella Firma, and Vital Arts & Science. In 2018, angel investments were made into Natural Dental Implants, Haxiot, Stocked Robotics, teleCalm, and TeVido, among others. Annually the organization reviews several hundred business plans and presents approximately 50 investment opportunities for hands-on analysis, due diligence and investment consideration to its membership of more than 60 individual, accredited investors. The non-profit, member-led organization reviews investment opportunities across industries, including medical device and service companies, software and hardware technology, and construction innovation, among others. One of the oldest and largest networks in Texas, NTAN is a member of the Angel Capital Association and the Alliance of Texas Angel Networks. Please visit the website to learn more about membership as an angel investor or to present your business for seed funding consideration by our members.

Congratulations to our NTAN board co-chair, Ichan Stall, on recognition last week as the Startup Evangelist of the Year at The DEC Network's 11th Annual State of Entrepreneurship Awards. Ichan is a tireless advocate, mentor, investor, and champion for our startup community. Well deserved. Congrats! #NTAN #AngelInvesting #StartupLife
😍 😍 Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! 😍 😍 Last night at The DEC Network's 11th Annual State of Entrepreneurship Awards, presented by Bank of America at SMU Cox - William S. Spears Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership, I was presented with the Startup Evangelist of the Year award! Kudos to The DEC Network and the amazing sponsors for putting on this event - it was a packed house (standing room only) and an extraordinary night celebrating DFW entrepreneurs and our ecosystem! It was so wonderful to see so many familiar faces and meet new ones too! Also, this event was the official kickoff of DFW Startup Week sponsored by Capital One (held Aug. 2-6th) and we learned that Daniel Lubetzky will be the keynote speaker! 🤩 I'm honored and humbled to receive this award. It is always about building community and giving back. There were so many well deserving nominees showcasing the strength of our ecosystem and I'm truly grateful to be amongst such inspiring people! I wouldn't be here without the support of my loving family especially my amazing wife, Sandy Ng Stall, MSN, NI-BC, who supports my passion for championing and helping others. She's our rock and nothing would be possible without her and my family's love and support! It was a special night personally because my daughter Zoe was there to see me receive an award for the first time and hear me give her a shout out as well thanking her! She couldn't stop talking about it last night before going to bed and again this morning. 🥰 Also, this was a moment for her to see first hand what it looks like when a community of builders, founders and ecosystem leaders & groups come together to celebrate and recognize all the hard work and effort from everyone. If you're able to give back in any way, I ask that you find a way to do so. Founders will really appreciate it even if you're just lending an ear. You just never know the immense impact you could have upon them. Thank you to all those that supported me and congratulations to all the nominees and winners last night! I'm extremely encouraged by our entrepreneurial community and the collaboration we have today! Thanks to Alex Hemmerlein and the Plug and Play Tech Center team in Frisco for hosting! We had a great evening of networking with NTAN members, guest investors, our P&P hosts, and the invited founders, followed by each of them giving compelling pitches to the group.
What a way to kick off the year at North Texas Angel Network. 🚀 Our January pitch meeting was a packed house (and online Zoom room) and a strong start to 2026. We heard from five vetted startups, with two companies moving into due diligence—and 22 investors already expressing interest in the deals. The opportunities span AI technology and the food industry, highlighting the range of innovation coming through NTAN. A special thank you to Plug and Play Tech Center for hosting us at their Frisco location and helping set the stage for a great discussion. If you’re an accredited investor and would like to join us for our February meeting, please contact Jeff Murphy, NTAN's Executive Director. We’d love to have you in the room. #AngelInvesting #StartupEcosystem #NTAN #EarlyStageInvesting #DFWTech #AIStartups #FoodInnovation

🎉 Please welcome Ryan Vong to the NTAN board of directors. Ryan has been an active member and angel investor, so we are thrilled to bring his expertise to the board. Learn more about Ryan's goals in this role and his background... RYAN'S THOUGHTS: "I joined the board of the North Texas Angel Network to support founders at one of the most important stages of their journey, when strategy, execution, and guidance matter as much as funding. I’ve built, scaled, and exited a business, and I know how hard early decisions can be. In this role, I hope to help founders avoid common pitfalls and build companies designed to last." RYAN'S BACKGROUND: Ryan Vong is a seasoned founder, CEO, and executive advisor with more than 20 years of experience helping B2B technology and services organizations scale revenue with operational discipline. As the founder and CEO of Helix CXM, Ryan works with executive teams to strengthen go-to-market alignment, build governance-focused revenue operations, and unlock value through reliable customer data foundations. Previously, he built and led Digital Pi, a global marketing automation and operations consultancy recognized on the Inc. 5000 list and later acquired by Merkle (Dentsu). Ryan’s career blends operational leadership with strategic advising. He has partnered with CEOs, investors, and leadership teams to improve operational rigor, forecast confidence, and cross-functional alignment in high-growth environments. His work with early-stage and mid-enterprise organizations has deepened his appreciation for the unique challenges founders face as they scale. Based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area with his family, Ryan also invests time in mentoring emerging leaders, coaching youth athletics, and pursuing lifelong learning. #NTAN #AngelInvesting #DFWStartups #BoardMember
