Truly an honor to be recognized as CEO of the Year by Essence Magazine, especially in the company of so many incredible honorees. This award reminds me that creating space where there is none, building a culture of trust and empathy, and uplifting others is what matters most. Being a part of the NY LIBERTY I am able to do all of this and more, while being surrounded by athletes and colleagues that reflect the culture that Essence is highlighting. Grateful for my team, our community, and everyone who inspires me to keep opening doors. Thank you to Essence for giving us this platform! From reading Essence as a little girl to standing on this stage last week, it means so much to be part of this story.

Last week was historic for Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment. We officially opened the Brooklyn Basketball Training Center, a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility located across the street from Barclays Center. 🎉 To celebrate this milestone, we had a ribbon-cutting ceremony and hosted a Grand Opening Celebration where our community had the opportunity to experience our two full-size courts, shooting lab and Shoot 360 cutting-edge technology with coaching from Brooklyn Nets and NY LIBERTY players and Brooklyn Basketball clinicians. 🏀 The Brooklyn Basketball Training Center is operated by our flagship youth basketball program – Brooklyn Basketball. Through our partnership with the NYC Department of Education, the program already reaches over 40,000 youth annually! This new facility allows us to expand that reach, elevate the experience, and create a true home for young athletes of all skill levels. 🍂 Fall programming tipped off this week with after-school programs, weekend camps, all-girls clinics, advanced training, birthday parties, and more. 📣 Brooklyn Basketball Training Center: Shoot 360 Technology 📣 Opening this fall, the Brooklyn Basketball Training Center will introduce Shoot 360, making us the only youth training facility in the tri-state area to feature this cutting-edge technology. 🏀 Shoot 360 is a leader in basketball innovation and skill development and provides athletes of all skill levels with immersive and data-driven training. The same Shoot 360 advanced ball detection technology is used by nearly every NBA team and more than 100 collegiate basketball programs. 📊 Through a unique combination of interactive technology and physical activity, the Shoot 360 experience measures participants’ skillset and uses performance data to help identify ways they can improve their game. The brand's proprietary software tracks and measures skill development across three key areas: ball handling, passing, and shooting to give athletes instant feedback on their performance. 🏟️ The Brooklyn Basketball Training Center will feature eight total installations of Shoot 360’s interactive basketball training technology – five shooting cages and three skill cages. ✏️ Shoot 360 will be available to participants in Brooklyn Basketball’s newest after school program which tips off with the upcoming school year. We can’t wait to open the doors to the Brooklyn Basketball Training Center this fall and establish our community-first basketball experience for youth basketball players and enthusiasts.
