We’ve officially mobilized for the American River Common Features Natomas Basin – Reach D, Highway 99 Project! This project, led by US Army Corps of Engineers in coordination with SACRAMENTO AREA FLOOD CONTROL AGENCY, Central Valley Flood Protection Board, and Reclamation District 1000, will close a long-standing gap in levee improvements by constructing a Deep Mix Method (DMM) cutoff wall beneath the Hwy 99 overcrossing. Temporary closures along Hwy 99 will be carefully coordinated to minimize impacts, with safety and efficiency at the forefront. Completing the final segment of Reach D will strengthen flood protection for the Natomas Basin and the greater Sacramento region, protecting homes, infrastructure, and lives while ensuring continued reliability of one of the area's critical transportation routes. #FloodProtection #AmericanRiver #Highway99 #Sacramento #TeamOdin #LetTheFunBegin

Safety thrives when the whole team is empowered. When people feel heard, they speak up. When they feel trusted, they lead. And when we train with intention, our teams are empowered to act confidently and safely—on every task, every day. That’s what #SHIELD is all about. Our Safety Hero’s Initiative for Employee Learning & Development (SHIELD) workshop brings together presenters, breakout activities, and real testimonials to spark conversations around personal safety—on the job, in the office, and at home. It’s about infusing our safety culture with soul (our character, values, and beliefs), strengthening relationships, and creating permission for real, meaningful dialogue around safety. The goal? To encourage reflection, deepen kinship, and explore how our personal experiences shape the way we approach safety. 📸 Check out some recent SHIELD alumni from across Odin! #ConstructionSafetyWeek Construction Safety Week #CSW2025 #EncourageAndEmpower #SafetyCulture #SafetyWeek #WhyIWorkSafe #OdinSafety #TeamOdin

"Safety starts with me" is not just a slogan — it’s a mindset. Superintendent Anthony Betancourt shares how personal responsibility, daily planning, and active field presence shape a safer jobsite at our South San Francisco Bay Shoreline project. From using Stop Work Authority to gathering every voice during safety meetings, Anthony leads by example — showing how staying alert and involved makes a difference for the whole crew. Safety isn’t one person’s job. It’s everyone’s. When each team member takes ownership, we build a culture where safety is second nature — and that starts with you. #ConstructionSafetyWeek Construction Safety Week #CSW2025 #OwnYourPart #SafetyCulture #SafetyWeek #WhyIWorkSafe #OdinSafety #TeamOdin Odin

Stuff That Could Kill You (STCKY) is a bold phrase—and it should be. High energy hazards demand our full attention, our constant vigilance, and a deep sense of ownership. Today, our Health & Safety Director, Chad Guerrero, CHST, ASP, shares his perspective on how we manage STCKY hazards across Odin projects. From fostering a culture of awareness to using tools like JSAs to strengthen crew communication, Chad reminds us that safety isn't a checklist—it's a mindset. 👷📣 “Effective control of high energy hazards on an Odin project requires a layered and proactive approach. That means designing out hazards where possible, completing thorough JSAs and AHAs, following our Hazardous Energy Control procedures, and, above all, engaging the crew in real conversations. When our teams slow down, ask the tough questions, and operate from a place of ownership, that’s when we’re truly staying one step ahead of STCKY hazards.” #ConstructionSafetyWeek #CSW2025 #HighEnergyHazards #SafetyCulture #SafetyWeek #WhyIWorkSafe #OdinSafety #TeamOdin Construction Safety Week

We’re proud to be a Construction Safety Week 2025 ally. While every week at Odin is treated like Safety Week, we’re excited to bring you along as we celebrate what it means to plan, communicate, and work with care. Today's theme is Planning With Precision, and there’s no better way to start than hearing from George Marley, Health and Safety Officer on our Folsom Dam Raise Dikes 1–6 project. In this video, George shares how daily safety meetings help our teams prepare for the unexpected—and how one of those meetings helped prevent what could have been a serious injury on-site. #ConstructionSafetyWeek #CSW2025 #PlanningWithPrecision #OdinSafety #FolsomDam #SafetyDriven #SafetyWeek2025 #TeamOdin
