Crews are hard at work across the Appalachian region of Ohio as Appalachian Community Grant Program projects are underway, transforming communities and Ohio's future! Director Carey stopped by the village of McConnelsville where they're clearing out the land in preparation to start improvements to their riverfront; including enhanced streetscapes and pedestrian access, and a new park with a playground. We've also seen updates from the village of Peebles' infrastructure projects that will include sidewalks, safety, and roadway improvements. Additionally, work is underway on the Holzer Hill Medical Complex Childcare Center in Gallipolis - once built the center will have the capacity to serve more than 100 children of the hospital's healthcare workers and provide the children with educational equipment, specialized classrooms, and a playground.
