lululemon is targeting Costco Wholesale in a lawsuit, claiming the wholesale retailer is selling lower-priced knockoffs of some of its popular designs. NPR reports the luxury clothing brand is accusing Costco of illegally trading on its “reputation, goodwill and sweat equity by selling unauthorized and unlicensed apparel” based on the athleisure brand’s design patents. Specifically, Lululemon said Costco is selling duplicates of its Scuba hoodies, Define jackets, and ABC pants, ABC News reported. ABC News also said the lawsuit notes that Costco’s Hi-Tec Men’s Scuba Full Zip is priced at $19.97, compared to Lululemon’s men’s jackets which cost more than $100 each. E-commerce giant Amazon is expanding operations at the former Saturday’s Market site and an adjoining property in Londonderry Township while modernizing facilities in Cumberland and York counties. The 281-door XPO facility opened in November but officially celebrated its arrival on Tuesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. And XPO has been increasing its operations over time. The facility currently has about 450 employees, including about 180 truck drivers, as well as supervisors, customer service employees, dock workers and mechanics. Wawa, Inc. wants to bring its hoagies, coffee and fuel to Lower Allen Township. The Philadelphia-area convenience store chain is eyeing 920 Century Drive at the former Mechanicsburg Comprehensive Treatment Center, according to plans submitted to the Cumberland County Planning Department. Wawa is proposing to construct a 6,000-square-foot store with a covered fueling station and 50 parking spaces on 2.3 acres. Shake Shack is bringing its burgers and crinkle cut fries to Cumberland County. The quick-service chain confirmed it signed a lease at the Beltway Commons, a development project underway at 5315 Carlisle Pike at the former Park Inn by Radisson in Hampden Township. The 132,144-square-foot shopping center is being developed by California-based Pacifica Companies and will be anchored by BJ’s Wholesale and include Cava Mediterranean, Starbucks, Raising Cane’s and Honeygrow.
