We’re thrilled to share that Jackson Post, Project Engineer at #Petrotech, will be presenting at Clean Currents 2025 on October 15 at 11 am in the Waterpower Intelligence Theater as part of the "Improvements and Innovations" session. Jackson will co-present alongside Canyon Hydro and Sage Geosystems on the pioneering “Innovative Pumped Storage” project. This session introduces an advanced subsurface long-duration energy storage solution called Earth Storage, which transforms deep, low-permeability rock into a rechargeable pressure vessel. Key highlights of the presentation include: 🔺 EARTH STORAGE: Injects water into a fractured reservoir until wellhead pressure reaches ~4,000 psi, storing energy in “lung” fractures, and later using that pressure to drive a Pelton turbine for electricity generation . 🔺 ADAPTIVE CONTROLS: This innovative approach fills the critical gap left by traditional lithium-ion batteries and pumped hydro—especially in markets that demand scalability, reliability, and real-time control.
