In my new Fortune op-ed, I share why AI doesn’t have to concentrate power or sacrifice people’s wellbeing. Our work at Pinterest proves that open‑source, responsible AI can scale, support creators, and build a healthier internet - something I’m eager to discuss further this week at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos. That’s the AI future worth betting on. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gcP8DhPa

Big week for Pinterest: we’ve officially opened our new Los Angeles office in Culver City. LA sits at the center of culture, creativity, and inspiration, and so much of what people discover on Pinterest starts here. Having a permanent home in this city helps us deepen our connection to the creators, brands and partners who shape what people see and save every day. Excited to have the doors open and get to work.

This week marks a proud and inspiring milestone with the launch of the Youth Mental Health Corps (YMHC) in Maryland. Moments like this remind me of why Pinterest teamed up with the Schultz Family Foundation to bring near-peer mental health support directly to the students who need it most: because every young person deserves to feel safe and inspired, online and off. Early evidence shows our approach is working. Schools with YMHC members are seeing fewer behavior referrals, improved attendance and more students asking for help. Thank you to Governor Gov. Wes Moore, Acting Secretary Jonny Dorsey, and the Maryland Department of Service and Civic Innovation in the fight to respond to one of the most urgent challenges young people face today. Here’s to starting the year strong in Maryland and 10 other states, with more to come, and continuing to build a future where every young person feels supported. Kick off 2026 with Pinterest CRO Bill Watkins, coming to you from CES. He’s sharing what so many advertisers already know: Pinterest is an AI-powered platform designed for decisions. In 2026, the real question is: where can you reach people who are actually ready to discover and decide? On Pinterest, over 50% of people come to shop and 96% of top searches are unbranded, so your brand can show up before decisions are made.

CES 2026 is going strong and I’m hearing the same question over and over again from brands: "How do we get discovered when brands are disappearing from the traditional search experience?” The answer? Your audience hasn't disappeared—but the way they search has completely evolved. Gen Z is leading the charge toward visual-first discovery, using search to explore their aesthetic instead of asking it for one "right" answer. That's where Pinterest comes in. Watch to hear why visual search isn't just the future—it's what's happening right now.

This week at #CES I had the opportunity to talk with advertisers and marketers about something I'm incredibly passionate about: taking back our taste. In a world where algorithms often decide what we see, wear and even who we should be, I’m inspired as I watch Gen Z quietly pushing back. They're not doomscrolling—they're curating. Building niche aesthetics, visually exploring and finding spaces they feel safe to do so. On Pinterest, we’re giving Gen Z new ways to discover, not dictate, what’s truly them. I had a chance to demo our new AI-powered visual-first shopping tool—Pinterest Assistant. It transforms pure text-based search into a voice activated conversational shopping assistant. For advertisers, this is an important opportunity to show up where people are building a point of view. 🎥Watch to see why this matters for your brand. 📌Have you tried Pinterest Assistant? Let me know in the comments!
