When something's worth protecting, you do whatever it takes. Up early. Out late. Putting in the work, day after day. That same grit fuels us— To keep trying new things. Adding higher blends. Creating new markets and finding new uses for a single kernel of corn. Together, we're building the future for rural communities. POET and Farmers. Rooted in American grit.

“Working for a company that’s always innovating — and still getting to farm with his family — that’s pretty special.” For 22 years, Adam has been part of the POET family — starting as a plant technician and now leading as General Manager at POET Bioprocessing – Hudson. Growing up on his family’s farm near Parker, SD, agriculture has always been in his roots. Today, he continues farming alongside his wife, mom, and sister — raising corn, soybeans, alfalfa, sheep, and pigs, while mentoring the next generation through 4H and FFA. In recognition of their dedication to agriculture, Adam’s family was named the 2025 Farm Family of the Year by the Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce. At POET, Adam is passionate about leading people, pushing innovation, and helping others achieve more than they thought possible. Back home, he’s proud to continue the family legacy as a third-generation farmer — with his daughters, niece, and nephew already helping out on the farm.

For centuries, farmers have been the backbone of our nation. They are the unsung heroes of our daily lives, the original innovators, the composers who cultivate harmony between humans and nature in every season. Thank you, farmers, for weathering every storm to feed and fuel the world. We admire and appreciate all you do for your communities, country, and world. #NationalFarmersDay #RootedInAmericanGrit

“The demand from E15 and ethanol could save our corn industry — and really save a lot of family farms.” – Tyler Drewes, Ohio Corn and Wheat Growers Association President Raised on a family farm in Deshler, Ohio, Drewes has seen firsthand how local ethanol production transformed opportunities for growers and why he’s now advocating for year-round E15. “Everyone at POET brings a different background, but we’re all working toward the same goal.” – Clay Baldwin, Merchandiser Raised on a multi-generation cattle operation in Iowa, where his grandpa bought his first cattle in 1954 and built the feedlot his family still runs today, Clay knows firsthand the challenges and rewards of farm life. At POET, he coordinates shipments, supports plant teams, and ensures customers receive the feed ingredients they need. His farming background also helps him connect with customers and bring valuable insight to support POET plants across multiple territories. This harvest season, we’re proud to celebrate team members like Clay, who are not only helping POET move agriculture forward but are also carrying on their own family farm traditions.
