Pond is proud to share that Michael C Jeffreys, PMP, has been awarded the “Order of the SPR” at the PETRO 2025 conference, one of the highest recognitions in the fuels and petroleum community. The Order of the SPR is awarded by the National Petroleum Management Corporation to individuals who have made exceptional, long-term contributions to the Department of Defense fuels mission. It honors leaders who demonstrate technical excellence, dedication to mission support, and a career committed to strengthening the fuels community. With over 33 years of experience in the POL industry, across the U.S. Air Force, government contracting, and private sector leadership, Michael’s influence has been both global and generational. From his service overseas as a POL troop following in his father’s footsteps, to spearheading complex fuels programs for military and commercial operations, his career has been defined by innovation, mentorship, and mission-focused excellence. Michael now shares this honor with his father, Mac Jeffreys, making them the next father-son duo to be inducted into the Order of the SPR—a rare and meaningful milestone that speaks volumes about their lifelong dedication to the industry and country. Please join Pond in congratulating Michael on this extraordinary achievement and his continued impact on the fuels world. Pond is supporting the revitalization of downtown Jacksonville, Florida, with architectural and engineering design for the Liberty Street Marina, an effort that enhances access to the city’s most defining natural feature: the St. Johns River. As a subconsultant to HDR, Pond is designing the Harbormaster House and delivering architectural, structural, MEP, fire protection, and civil services. The scope includes utility infrastructure along the docks and land-based service connections to support the marina’s essential operations. The Harbormaster House will feature restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, a harbormaster office, boat lift, and a observation deck with vending services and seating—providing key amenities for both commercial operators and transient boaters. Designed to serve tour boats, rentals, and other vessels, the marina will help reenergize Jacksonville’s working waterfront and support long-term economic and recreational activity. Named in honor of former Mayor Hans Tanzler, the project reflects a commitment to honoring Jacksonville’s past while building for its future. Pond is deeply invested in the well-being of the communities we serve—designing infrastructure that supports quality of life, economic growth, and meaningful connections to place. #PowerofPond #60YearsofPond
