On Monday, the U.S. agreed to drop the 145% tax imposed last month to 30%. In turn, China agreed to lower its tariff rate on U.S. goods to 10% from 125%. But even with this temporary reprieve, prices are already trending upward. Walmart reinforced that reality during its earnings call earlier today, announcing plans to raise prices later this month to offset tariff pressures. Still, consumer demand appears steady.
