It’s a colorful snapshot of one of our earliest manufacturing plants. But what really makes the map a “hidden gem” for P&G Archivist Claire Danna is the story it illustrates of the company’s forthcoming transition away from making candles in favor of soap and other products. On International Day of the Girl, we're celebrating the incredible potential of girls and young women everywhere, and the organizations helping unlock it. This year, P&G supported the Girl Up, United Nations Foundation Women in Science (WiSci) STEAM Camp in South Africa. This powerful initiative brought together 71 young women from around the world to explore their interest in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Design, and Mathematics) and develop leadership skills. The camp was filled with impactful activities designed to ignite curiosity, like a dynamic panel discussion, group mentoring sessions with P&G scientists and plant managers, and an inspiring project showcase.
