About us

The Puyallup School District is the sixth largest district in the state of Washington, serving a population of approximately 144,030 residents. The district is located six miles east of Tacoma, 30 miles south of Seattle, and is situated in the heart of the Puyallup Valley. The district has 22 elementary schools, seven junior high schools, three comprehensive senior high schools, and an alternative school, all of which serve more than 22,500 students. The district employs approximately 1,560 certificated, 1,450 classified staff, and 600 substitute personnel. Our Mission The Puyallup School District, in partnership with our diverse communities, educates and inspires students to reach their full potential.

  • Rogers High School (RHS) construction teacher Jon Cerio has been named one of only 25 educators nationwide to win the Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence. The recognition includes $35,000 for the RHS Trades program, supporting students in skilled trades education. Way to go!

  • Last week, Wildwood Elementary School was honored with a $5,000 classroom donation from Burlington Stores in partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org. The announcement took place at the ribbon cutting of Burlington Stores, Inc.'s new Puyallup store, where Principal Kate Kranzush, Assistant Principal Dr. Alyssa Simm, PTA President Quinn Bartholomew, and a group of students accepted the gift on behalf of the school. This contribution will directly support Wildwood’s teachers and students, helping strengthen classroom resources and enhance learning opportunities. We are grateful for community partners who invest in education and the future of our students. 💜
