Last week was a movie. An insane, livestreamed, 7-hour movie titled “Brian’s Office,” starring Brian Baumgartner and friends. In a valiant attempt to complete 600,000 expense reports as our new “CFO,” Brian managed to hit 123. In the end, learning that it’s ok to let Ramp automate the boring stuff so he could focus on what he’s best at: being an iconic spokesperson. Thank you all for making this day so special. From the producers to attendees, the writers to influencers, customers, box builders, chili chefs, and the city of New York. 10/15/2025 forever.

MYTH: Finance hates spending money. REALITY: Finance *loves* spending money, *if* it's driving results. If you’re a marketer looking for budget buy-in or a finance leader seeking clarity on spend, stephen hedlund from Rillet has some ideas for you: https://lnkd.in/ep8fYA-f

Your favorite websites are down today because Amazon's AWS is having its largest outage in years. My projection of impact on business spend: 1. Low impact to Amazon. Competitors exist (Google, Microsoft) but most firms will see this as a one-off unless Amazon has ongoing reliability issues. 2. More attention to security / reliability in other parts of web infrastructure. Companies want to develop fast with AI without messy code that compromises security / reliability. And this shock will add energy + investment to those efforts. Already seeing these trends in Ramp data. Some of our fastest growing vendors (see Snyk) are designed to implement AI safely and securely across enterprise. “The only reason I'm here today is because I went to prison. That's my distinction.” Former Enron CFO Andrew Fastow reminded the audience of that when he stepped on stage at OnRamp NYC. Fastow was at the center of one of the most notorious financial fraud scandals in history, making him uniquely positioned to explain how misconduct creeps into the gray areas of finance. POV: Your CFO steps down — so Brian Baumgartner steps in. Brian (aka Kevin) spent the day in a glass box in Flatiron trying to out-expense Ramp the manual way. Things got… messy. Safe to say that Ramp's automation > spreadsheets every time. 💳📦 Psyched to say our CFO, William Petrie won’t be going anywhere after all 😅 👨💼 (for good reason)
