  • 🎉 Leadership Transition at RBW Consulting 🎉 We’re pleased to announce that Howard Johnson has been appointed as the new CEO of RBW Consulting, following the leadership of James Wakefield, who now moves on to exciting new ventures. Howard has been part of RBW sixteen years, and his journey through the business, from Consultant to VP of European Sales Team has seen him develop a leadership style grounded in collaboration, growth, and integrity. As he steps into the role of CEO, he builds on a strong foundation laid by James Wakefield, whose three years at the helm brought not only cultural development but also real, tangible improvements to how we operate and the services we offer to clients. James has helped shape the RBW we enjoy today and we thank him for his vision, mentorship, and the legacy he leaves behind. Please join us in celebrating this proud moment for both Howard and James, and for RBW as a whole. #LeadershipTransition #RBWConsulting #LifeSciences #NewChapter

  • 🧬 𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 🧬 FDA introduces a faster route for therapies targeting ultra‑rare conditions. Last week, the FDA announced its Rare Disease Evidence Principles (RDEP), a regulatory shift that could transform how treatments for ultra‑rare conditions reach patients. Under this approach, drugs for severe, genetically defined diseases (affecting fewer than 1,000 patients in the US) may now be approved based on one well‑controlled trial plus confirmatory evidence, rather than multiple large studies. Why it matters: ✔ Accelerated timelines for life‑changing therapies ✔ Lower barriers for sponsors working in niche indications ✔ Greater hope for patients and families waiting on breakthroughs As precision medicine and advanced therapies (like gene and cell treatments) gain momentum, this move signals a future where regulatory flexibility meets scientific innovation. Do you think this will spark more investment in ultra‑rare programs, or will cost and manufacturing challenges still hold things back? #RareDisease #RegulatoryAffairs #DrugDevelopment #LifeSciences #Innovation #FDA

  • 🧠 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐀𝐥𝐳𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐫’𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 – 𝐋𝐞𝐭’𝐬 #𝐀𝐬𝐤𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚 🧠 This September marks the 14th anniversary of World Alzheimer’s Month, a global campaign to raise awareness and challenge the stigma surrounding dementia. With over 55 million people worldwide living with dementia, and numbers expected to rise sharply in the coming decades, awareness and early support have never been more important. This year’s theme, “𝑨𝒔𝒌 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒂. 𝑨𝒔𝒌 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝑨𝒍𝒛𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒎𝒆𝒓’𝒔.”, encourages everyone to start conversations, seek information, and challenge misconceptions. Dementia is not a normal part of aging, and by asking questions, we can help more people access the support, diagnosis, and care they deserve. Key facts: ⏱️ Someone develops dementia every 3 seconds. 🌍 Dementia will be the 3rd leading cause of death globally by 2040. 🚫 88% of people living with dementia experience discrimination. 🛡️ Up to 45% of dementia cases could be delayed or prevented by addressing modifiable risk factors. At RBW Consulting, we’re proud to support this campaign and @AlzDisInt and stand with those affected—individuals, families, and carers. Join us in raising awareness, sharing knowledge, and supporting a more inclusive future. 🔗 Learn more and access resources: https://lnkd.in/eGsXmt4K #WorldAlzMonth #AskAboutDementia #AskAboutAlzheimers #EndAlz #DementiaAwareness
