⚠️ The U.S. PET system is at a crucial crossroads. Domestic recycled PET capacity is in rapid decline—over 25% is already shut down as imports now supply ~25% of the market, and EPR policy intends to drive even more recycled PET into a system that’s shrinking, not growing. The fastest way to stop the slide: commit to U.S. recycled PET now. Join the conversation—hosted by our CEO, Keefe Harrison—with leaders working at the center of today’s PET recycling challenges, sharing candid insights on demand, investment, and system resilience when it matters most. ➡️ Register for the upcoming webinar, PET Packaging: Solving for an Out-of-Sync System - https://lnkd.in/g54dZsKb #RecyclingInAmerica #PET #PETRecycling #EPR #CircularEconomy #RecyclingInfrastructure

📣 Meaningful progress for polypropylene recycling! Reaching the “Widely Recyclable” threshold for polypropylene cups reflects years of collaboration to align packaging design, recycling infrastructure, end markets, and clear consumer communication. With more than 60% of U.S. households now able to recycle these cups curbside, we’ve cleared an important bar—but access alone isn’t enough. Turning access into real recovery requires continued investment, consistent education, and strong engagement at the community level. Through our Polypropylene Recycling Coalition we’re proud to collaborate with partners like GreenBlue Org and others across the value chain to help strengthen the recycling system and close the gap between access and capture. ➡️ Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gh26kewX #Recycling #Recyclability #Polypropylene #Sustainability
We’ve got an exciting update… ☕️♻️ Polypropylene cups are now considered “Widely Recyclable” in the U.S.! 🎉 Now, more than 60% of U.S. communities have access to curbside recycling for polypropylene cups. ♻️ Recycling in America Webinar: PET ♻️ PET is one of the most valuable and widely used plastics in the recycling system—but in the last six months, the system has shifted from strained to unstable. As investment in recycling accelerates under new EPR laws, collecting more material is only half the equation. Without sufficient processing capacity, even highly recyclable packaging can hit a dead end. With PET supply rising and reclaimers shutting down, the risk of imbalance is growing. Join us for our next Recycling in America webinar as we dig into the hard realities facing PET recycling in the U.S. We’ll break down what’s happening now, why it’s happening fast, and what must be done to stabilize PET recycling before it falls further behind rising supply. Whether you’re a brand, policymaker, recycler, or community partner, this conversation will offer practical insights and real-world context to help strengthen PET recycling nationwide. 👉 Register now to save your spot: https://lnkd.in/g54dZsKb #RecyclingInAmerica #PET #CircularEconomy #RecyclingSystems #SustainableMaterials #EPR

As we enter a new year, grounded in reflection and clear-eyed realism, one thing is certain: 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞. It takes policy. It takes investment. And it takes solving the system-level challenges holding recycling back. A new Waste360 article brings together environmental policy leaders, including The Recycling Partnership’s Anthony Tusino, to unpack what it will really take to deliver a more effective recycling system. Tusino makes the case: recycling must be invested in alongside reduction and reuse, and driven by strong, stable end markets that keep materials in motion. For The Recycling Partnership, advancing the 𝐂𝐈𝐑𝐂𝐋𝐄 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲. CIRCLE is a pragmatic step forward. It unlocks capital, strengthens supply chains, and turns policy into action. 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 65 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 behind it, momentum is real. And we’re not slowing down. Because national recycling goals aren’t achieved by chance. They’re built with intention and determination, together. 👉 Learn more about CIRCLE Act: https://lnkd.in/g7Yz6KVJ 🔗 Read the Waste360 Article: https://lnkd.in/gQ63S8kn #CIRCLEAct #RecyclingPolicy #RecyclingInfrastructure #RecycledContent #AmericanManufacturing #DomesticSupplyChains

April 2026 is California's deadline for demonstrating that film and flexible packaging (FFP) has a plan to reach compliance targets under its new Extended Producer Responsibility law, SB 54. Right now, less than 1% of FFP gets recycled — and without a plan, producers face fines in the millions or outright bans of packaging formats. Through CalFFlex, our Film & Flexibles Recycling Coalition initiative, we’re working across the recycling supply chain to demonstrate a compliance pathway for FFP. Our partners are diving in because they know that investing in solutions now will head off the very real risk of major costs later. The plan is ready. The time is now. Invest in the future of film & flex recycling. https://lnkd.in/gxn7isXH #filmandflexiblepackaging #filmandflex #grocers #grocery #foodpackaging #ExtendedProducerResponsibility #EPR

Just six months after Representatives Tom Suozzi (D-NY) and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) introduced the CIRCLE Act in July of this year, momentum continues to build. With Environmental Office Solutions, AMERIPEN, PureCycle Technologies, and Renegade Plastics joining on, support for the act now includes 65 endorsing organizations—and growing. Why it matters: the CIRCLE Act would create a 30% Recycling Infrastructure Investment Tax Credit to accelerate recycling infrastructure, create American jobs, strengthen domestic manufacturing, and build more resilient supply chains. This is bipartisan action with real, on-the-ground impact. 👉Learn more: https://lnkd.in/g7Yz6KVJ #CIRCLEAct #RecyclingInfrastructure #AmericanManufacturing #ResilientSupplyChains #TheRecyclingPartnership
