Reed Smith is proud to share that the Domestic Abuse Response Alliance (DARA) has now placed its 300th case, providing vital legal advocacy for survivors of domestic abuse who are not eligible for legal aid and cannot afford private representation - https://lnkd.in/ej2hYaJP Launched in 2022 by seven leading law firms, DARA has grown to include eleven firms working together with LawWorks, the National Centre for Domestic Violence (NCDV), Finding Legal Options for Women Survivors (FLOWS), and Beck Fitzgerald to provide end-to-end legal representation and advocacy support for survivors seeking protective orders through the Family Courts. At Reed Smith, DARA is led by partner Sally-Ann Underhill and associates Alia Khalil, Louisa Martac, Emily Clarke, and Sofia Loopuit, with support from associate Jessica Tagg and partner Becca Naylor from the EMEA Pro Bono team. Between January and June 2025, our DARA volunteers dedicated over 500 hours supporting clients in securing legal protection from their abusers — achieving positive outcomes in all cases. We are pleased to continue this important collaboration alongside our fellow DARA firms.
