🌲 Today at our Bend, Oregon store, we gathered to celebrate National Public Lands Day and everything our public lands have to offer. From stewardship to responsible recreation, the conversations reminded us that a shared love of the outdoors can bring people together.   Visitors even got to meet Yogi 🦙 a local therapy llama who stops by from time to time. With a donation to the REI Cooperative Action Fund, folks snapped a photo with him while supporting organizations that protect and care for these places we call home.   As store manager Dave Manchester said: “Easy access to public lands is part of what makes Bend so special. But we can’t take them for granted — it’s up to all of us to protect and care for these places we call home.”   We’re grateful to the organizations who joined us to share their expertise and inspire action: Discover Your Forest, Oregon Natural Desert Association, Central Oregon LandWatch, Think Wild Central Oregon, UPPER DESCHUTES WATERSHED COUNCIL
