Reliance is proud to announce a significant step forward in our commitment to supporting families in need. Building on a successful partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) since 2023, Reliance is making a groundbreaking $10 million donation to be paid over five years! This generous contribution will fund the 𝗡𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 to provide families staying at Ronald McDonald House programs with access to healthy, nutritious meals.
Our donation will allocate $8.75 million to support RMHC Chapters around the world in offering healthy meals, so families can focus on their children's recovery rather than everyday worries like cooking dinner. The remaining $1.25 million has been dedicated to Ronald McDonald House Pasadena, helping them realize their dream of owning and renovating their properties.
We are thrilled to share that the first Nourishing Families grants have just been awarded! This year, we are proud to support 𝟯𝟮 𝗥𝗠𝗛𝗖 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮, 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗻, 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲, 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮, 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗰𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮.
“We discovered that many RMHC Chapters do not have the resources to provide at least one meal a day for families. As a result, families often resort to vending machine snacks — or worse, skip meals entirely — as they focus on their children’s care. This is an unacceptable gap we are determined to fill,” said Karla Lewis, Reliance President and CEO.
With over $7.2 million USD in funding requests for year one alone, 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 to join in a global effort that reminds us all: when families are supported and nurtured, they gain the hope, strength, and love needed to overcome any challenge.
