Congratulations to Brenda Belizaire, Nursing Assistant on Unit 3E, on receiving the STAR (Special Treatment at Rahway) Award for August. An excerpt from her recommendation letter reads: “Brenda was by far the best aid I’ve ever had in any hospital. She went above and beyond to lift my spirits during this hard time. Brenda went above and beyond to ensure my food orders were received briskly, and moreover; she always makes sure I feel comfortable. As soon as she walks in the room, I am prepared to be uplifted and cared for. She should absolutely revive a STAR.” Well done, Brenda!

Congratulations to Deanna Pinkham, RN in the CCU on receiving the STAR (Special Treatment at Rahway) Award for August. An excerpt from her recommendation letter reads: “Deanna has been my mom’s nurse while in the critical care unit (CCU). She has done an exceptional job taking care of her. Deanna is very calm, courteous, and caring. Additionally, she is professional and exudes confidence, which provides extra peace of mind to the family, knowing that my mom is being well-taken care of. While all the ICU nurses are great, I want to nominate Deanna as a STAR. Thank you.” #LetsBeHealthyTogether⭐

Our employees' well-being includes feeling seen, supported and connected. RWJBarnabas Health recently hosted our 5th Annual Business Resource Group (BRG) Summit at the Jack & Sheryl Morris Cancer Center. Our BRGs are employee-led groups that are open to all and play a vital role in fostering a workplace community that is aligned with our core values. This year’s summit featured engaging presentations, opportunities to connect and inspiring remarks from system leaders. Together, we're creating an environment where every member of our team can thrive, because the well-being of our communities starts with US! #HealthCareLeadership #EmployeeWellbeing
