Did you know that NEMT provides rides for millions of Medicaid and Medicare Advantage members to attend healthcare appointments every year? Or that it’s projected to be a $32 billion industry by 2031? Or even what NEMT stands for (non-emergency medical transportation) and what it does? Our latest blog has the basics about this growing industry, which helps so many people address social determinants of health and meet their healthcare needs—before they need emergency care. Think of this as NEMT 101. https://hubs.li/Q03lG41s0 #NEMT #NonEmergencyMedicalTransporation #Medicaid #MedicareAdvantage #SDoH

A new survey of Americans' attitudes and behaviors around health checkups and preventative screenings found that nearly half (48%) of those surveyed put off regular checkups because of logistical issues like transportation challenges, childcare needs, and work demands. For people who have Medicaid and some Medicare Advantage plans, transportation shouldn’t be a barrier: Non-emergency transportation (NEMT) is a crucial benefit to ensure people can access the preventative care they need to stay as healthy as possible. SafeRide Health is committed to providing the best, most seamless NEMT services in the country. https://hubs.li/Q03kh_L20

As more hospitals close their labor and delivery units, maternity care deserts are expanding nationwide, leaving millions without vital obstetric care. These closures can lead to worse health outcomes for mothers and babies, particularly in underserved communities. Read SafeRide Health’s latest white paper to learn more about the problem—and how health plans and states can help address gaps in maternity care by supporting the use of midwives, doulas, and non-emergency medical transportation. SafeRide is committed to helping our partners enable safer, more equitable care for mothers and babies. https://hubs.li/Q03jwjVW0 #MaternityCareDeserts #HealthyPregnancies #Medicaid #NEMT
