A busy few days this week promoting a new Manufacturing Bill and Tax Credits on behalf of the manufacturers in our region. Thank you to the Suncoast/SWFL team who carried the message to our legislators: Rob Harris, Bayne Beecher, MBA, Carrie Collins, Christopher Conley, Ruth Buchanan, and Leslie Boyd. Undoubtedly our annual visits are paying off, as our name and faces are recognized in the halls. We met with 6 legislators and aides who represent our 5 county region: Senate President Albritton (Jennifer Hrdlicka), Senator Boyd, Senator Gruters (Jeremy Miller), and Representatives Conerly, McFarland, and Robinson. All were very receptive and supportive of our initiatives. Thank you to the staff at FloridaMakes for their hard work in coordinating various events and guest speakers. To our manufacturing members, we highly encourage you to arrange regional meetings with your legislators when they return from session in May.
