In partnership with Meta, Sarvam is bringing Indic voices to Ray-Ban Meta glasses, starting with full Hindi support. Powered by Sarvam’s language models, Meta AI now lets users interact hands-free in Hindi to ask questions, get real-time information, capture photos and videos, answer calls and texts, and control media with natural voice commands. This is the first step toward broader Indic language support on wearables, as well as enabling on-device AI models on novel platforms like AI glasses.

What an incredible few days for Sarvam at #GFF2025 in Mumbai! From our booth to the Bharat Experience AI Zone by NPCI, and Vivek Raghavan's panel on “AA + AI: The Future of Data-Driven Financial Services”, it was a strong showcase of India’s growing AI momentum. At the Sarvam Booth, we showcased AI built for the BFSI ecosystem. This included our models, as well as conversational and enterprise reasoning agents over telephony and WhatsApp that enable secure, large-scale customer interactions, automated workflows, and intelligent decision-making in multiple Indian languages. Through interactive demos in the Bharat Experience AI Zone, we showed how these capabilities unlock new opportunities across India’s financial sector. Vivek’s session explored how combining AA’s secure data-sharing framework with AI can power smarter financial products, deliver personalized advisory, and create new avenues for innovation, while addressing privacy, bias, and governance. Last Sunday afternoon at Sarvam HQ was all about ideas, innovation, and unlocking the potential of AI. In collaboration with DevRev, alongside Nimit Savant, Madhav Sikka, and Deepak Gupta from their team, we hosted a session that brought together founders, engineers, and AI practitioners under one roof. From the Sarvam side, Sehaj Virk walked us through our journey of building real AI products including Speech-to-Text, Text-to-Speech, LLMs, and APIs. A live demo by Vinayak Gavariya from Sarvam together with the DevRev team showed how these technologies are coming to life and how companies can build AI agents that actually work in production. Anirudh Coontoor’s (Cofounder and CTO of Supernova) lightning talk set the stage for deeper conversations, and the demos that followed brought a wave of fresh ideas. The energy in the room reflected the immense potential of applied AI today. A special thanks to Sneha Prabhu from the Sarvam team and everyone else from the community who helped make this gathering thoughtful and engaging. This is only the beginning. Sarvam's mission remains to develop sovereign capabilities in AI for India and we continue working hard to do so. Mr. Amitabh Kant's article beautifully articulates why AI sovereignty matters not just for security, but for ensuring AI serves India's linguistic and cultural diversity. One key insight: India needs to apply Make In India's principles to AI infrastructure. Just as we encouraged manufacturing in India, we should encourage all AI models serving Indian users to run inference on Indian infrastructure. This creates the conditions for investment in compute, which kickstarts the virtuous cycle of data, talent, and infrastructure and builds a sustainable AI ecosystem.
