Over the past few weeks, SCDOT and its partners have been working hard to resurface portions of SC 170 (pictured) and nearby SC-46 in Jasper County. This reconstruction is part of a larger paving project covering more than five miles of roadway. The work includes widening shoulders and rebuilding the road base to improve safety and durability. With remaining work continuing at night, the project is expected to be completed in the coming weeks.

Hurricane Helene recovery continues with the reopening of another South Carolina bridge! In Greenwood, the new Townsend Road bridge is now open to traffic. Completed on schedule, construction began this past spring and crews worked through the summer to restore this corridor for drivers throughout the community.
