On Saturday at SEETA, our CEO Timothy Bovard joined the panel “Selecting The Best Search Method For You” to discuss the strengths of SFA’s accelerator model. It was a lively discussion with Linh Tran, Bob Boniface, and Annie Page, moderated by Sarah Andrews. The breakout sessions on ETA models were a fantastic opportunity to highlight what makes SFA different. Timothy described the journey of our searchers and CEOs, from the search to acquisition to management, and how our approach is built on highly individualized attention and unparalleled support at each stage. The discussion also dug into how incentives align (or don’t) across the various ETA models. In traditional search, partnering is a way to compensate for lack of investor support, but it comes at a high cost: getting 15% equity instead of 25%. By contrast, SFA’s model allows searchers to keep more equity ownership while benefiting from the close personal connections and deep involvement of actively engaged investors with real skin in the game. At its core, SFA’s model is about more than just capital. It’s about partnership, trust, alignment, and giving our searchers & CEOs the tools and support they need to succeed. 🚀 #SFA #SEETA #ETA #SearchFunds #EntrepreneurshipThroughAcquisition

We are pleased to announce the successful exit of ETI Precision 🎉 Jonathan Blanchard is a member of SFA’s 2016 cohort and a graduate of Georgetown University McDonough School of Business. In October 2018, he acquired ETI Precision, a specialized calibration business based in Maryland. Over the next seven years, Jonathan transformed the company and expanded its footprint across the US. He opened new offices in Charlotte and Dallas, completed a strategic add-on acquisition, and built a stronger, more resilient organization. Thanks to his vision and the dedication of the ETI team, Jonathan was able to achieve excellent results for the business, SFA and himself. We were delighted working closely with Jonathan for the past nine years and are proud of his achievements. On to the next one 🚀 #SFA #ETA #ETIPrecision #EntrepreneurshipThroughAcquisition #BusinessGrowth #SuccessfulExit

Each year, the SFA CEO Retreat brings together our incredible community of CEOs to connect, reflect, and look ahead — and this year in New Orleans was no exception. Over three packed days, leaders shared updates on their priorities and challenges, joined workshops on topics like pricing, AI, and CEO-led sales, and dug into candid conversations around leadership, stress, and strategy 💬. We also took time to enjoy New Orleans culture — with crawfish, live music, and lots of good fun 🎷🦐. A big thank you to our talented, driven CEOs who continue to push each other — and all of us — forward 🙌.
