Join Kevin, Program Manager I, at Seattle Children’s Research Institute in person or virtually on Oct. 18 from 12 to 4 p.m. for Seattle Extra Life’s ‘Game On’! Attendees can register today https://bit.ly/46R9eaB or tune in virtually on our Facebook and YouTube channels! Kevin's cause is deeply personal. His daughter, Alex, was born with critical heart defects and spent 16 days in Children’s Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). Thanks to expert care (and charity care covering over a million dollars in bills), Kevin got precious time he “never would have had without the amazing skills of her cardiac team.” Now, every game day is dedicated to Alex’s memory and to families who shouldn’t have to fight illness and medical bills.

Hope. Care. Cure.
About us
Hope. Care. Cure. These three simple words capture what we are here to do. That’s because at Seattle Children’s, compassionate care, breakthrough research and generous donors come together every day for the children, and the families, who need us. Over a century later, we continue to fight relentlessly to make sure there’s no such thing as “out of options” and to make sure kids who “didn't have a chance” can have the childhoods they deserve. At Seattle Children’s, we’re united by a compelling mission: We provide hope, care and cures to help every child live the healthiest and most fulfilling life possible. #HopeCareCure

Seattle Children's didn’t create just any board game. The River of Connection activity fosters deeper connections, sparks meaningful conversations, and builds resilience. It’s based on the Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences (HOPE) Framework and is used to promote positive childhood experiences. And by the end, everyone is a winner. “We often focus on what’s wrong, and this focuses on what’s strong,” said Beth Crispin, program manager. “Positive exists everywhere, in every child and every family.” Learn how it surfaces HOPE: https://bit.ly/46UqeNi

On Saturday, Oct. 11, Field of Hope’s Inaugural Celebrity Softball Game knocked it out of the park! ⚾💙 Thanks to everyone who came out, played, cheered, and donated; more than $30,000 was raised to support Seattle Children’s Psychiatric Urgent Care — helping kids and families get the care they need, when they need it most. We’re so grateful to the incredible athletes of Team HOMS and Team USI, and to event founders Quin Barnard and Race Porter, whose vision made this amazing day possible. Here’s to community, connection, and hope — we can’t wait to see you back on the field next year!
