We’re all “set” to announce one of our latest projects. Recently we began construction of new sand volleyball courts, located on the south side of Gage Park. We look forward to the completion of this next park asset and the quality of life it will add to our community.

As a parks & rec organization, there’s nothing more fulfilling than seeing your community enjoy the parks and programming you work so hard to provide. Founder’s Fest at Gage Park was a day for us to honor the history of the park, bring together community partners, and offer free amenities, ensuring everyone gets an opportunity to share in the joy.

Yesterday we recognized four staff celebrating their anniversaries with parks + recreation. Combined they have a total of 130 years of service touching every aspect of the park system. Thank you for your service and continued dedication to making Shawnee County a great place to live.
