Last month, we had the pleasure of welcoming educators from The Museum of Flight for a behind-the-scenes tour of our aerospace manufacturing facility. Educators at The Museum of Flight play a crucial role in delivering dynamic STEM experiences to students in grades K–12. Through immersive, student-centered programs, they help students deepen their understanding of STEM concepts and connect learning to real-world careers in aerospace. Their visit to Skills Inc. gave the team a firsthand look at aerospace manufacturing and its diverse career pathways. We are proud to share that Skills Inc. has been awarded the 2025 Inspire Award from Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance (PNAA)! This honor recognizes the success of our Advanced Manufacturing Leadership Academy (AMLA), launched last year in partnership with Kent School District and Clover Park Technical College. We’re grateful to our partners—who were also recognized with this aerospace industry award—for joining us in creating an innovative work-based Running Start Program for high school seniors to gain hands-on training and dual-credit coursework in advanced manufacturing. Our team had a fantastic time at the Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance's Women in Aerospace Conference last week!
