Last week was pretty COOL! At #OCP2025, we had a chance to show off some of the boldest and coldest innovations in solid-state storage. Booth visitors got a chance to see the world’s first cold-plate-cooled eSSD for fanless server environments, attendees gained valuable insights into the future of liquid and immersion cooling during our main stage presentations, and those who caught our breakfast panel were able to learn more about what it takes to deliver massive AI compute capacity at unprecedented speeds from subject matter experts at CoreWeave, Dell Technologies, NVIDIA, VAST Data and Solidigm moderated by TechArena.ai. Great content is still on its way from the TechArena.ai Data Insights podcasts filmed at the show and sponsored by Solidigm! On Tuesday night, #TeamSolidigm also got a chance to connect with industry peers and customers at the coolest happy hour in town, complete with an ice sculpture. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success. We can't wait to see you all again on the show floor at Supercomputing 2025.

#OCP2025 underscored a major industry shift. Liquid cooling is no longer optional for high-performance data centers. In Forbes, Tom Coughlin features Solidigm's cold-plate-cooled SSDs as part of the move toward end-to-end liquid cooling solutions. As storage power requirements rise with each PCIe generation, Solidigm is helping define how future data centers stay cool, efficient, and AI-ready. AI is exposing the fact that hardware and software teams still aren’t speaking the same language. 🎙️ 🎧 https://lnkd.in/g5Q-k8Bf In this TechArena.ai episode of the Data Insights series, Allyson Klein and Jeniece Wnorowski welcome guests Scott Shadley, MBA, Board Member of #TeamSolidigm and Val Bercovici of WEKA. Together, they dive into the importance of hardware-software alignment, the role of token economics, including why time-to-first token has become such a critical benchmark, and what it takes for enterprises to scale from pilots to AI factories. Listen to a segment below, or tune in to the full convo linked above to hear how storage-memory innovations from WEKA and Solidigm are redefining AI data centers.

Traditional air-cooling is no longer enough to manage today’s high-density compute environments. Luckily, with the introduction of our Solidigm D7-PS1010 9.5mm E1.S SSD, cooling efficiency now extends to storage itself. The D7-PS1010 introduces a breakthrough in storage thermal management by utilizing a single cold plate to cool both sides of the SSD. Our fully liquid-cooled SSD design improves density, enables full hot-swap capability, and supports next-generation fanless server configurations, changing what’s possible in data center design. Air and traditional cooling methods are having a hard time managing the demands of AI workloads at scale. Liquid cooling has become the de facto solution across distributed environments, from on-prem to the edge. Earlier this week, Iceotope CEO Jonathan Ballon joined Solidigm on stage at #OCP2025 for a main-stage presentation on liquid cooling. But before that, he joined the Solidigm and TechArena.ai Data Insights Series to talk about sustainable cooling in the AI era and how Iceotope can adapt its tech to meet real-world customer needs. Did you know their “direct to everything” cooling approach reduces water use by 96% compared to the industry, and cuts power consumption by 80%? On a recent podcast with Data Center Frontier, Solidigm's Director of Strategic Planning, Brian Jacobosky, challenges the notion that high-capacity storage is cost prohibitive. Within the framework of the AI token economy, Jacobosky explains that the true measure becomes minimizing cost per token and time to first token. When storage is optimized for performance, capacity, and efficiency, the total cost of ownership (TCO) will often prove favorable after the first evaluation. What a panel to kick off Tuesday at OCP 2025 From GPU to Storage, OEM to ISV, and all the way to the AI Datacenter — the entire AI pipeline was represented on one stage, moderated by TechArena. The key takeaways: the scale of AI deployments is massive — and with that scale, the cost of downtime becomes even bigger. Reliable, scalable solutions are a must. Innovation at every level of the stack is what defines leadership — but it must happen with velocity. Huge thanks to this incredible lineup for sharing their insights and perspectives: • Jacob Yundt– CoreWeave • Chris (CJ) Newburn – NVIDIA • Peter Corbett – Dell Technologies • Alan Bumgarner – Solidigm • Glenn K. Lockwood – VAST Data • Allyson Klein – TechArena.ai (Moderator) Find out more here - https://lnkd.in/ggiZ-2_K And finally great work by Jeniece Wnorowski , Stacy Kondrashov & Hayley Corell and the TechArena.ai team for pulling this together!
