#SonyPics recently celebrated the 2025 Sustainability Prize winners Kasia Strek and Kirsten Slemint from the Sony World Photography Awards and the Sony Future Filmmaker Awards at a special Creators for the Planet showcase we hosted in partnership with Creo and the United Nations Foundation.     Taking place at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Lower Manhattan, guests from across the sustainability sector attended the event, which included a Q&A panel with Martina Donlon, the Chief of Climate and Sustainable Development Communications at the United Nations, and John Rego, SVP and Chief Environmental Sustainability Officer at Sony Pictures. The event culminated in a screening where Kirsten's winning film was screened alongside Kieran Hodges’ and Eduardo Vento's Justice Brothers and Solmund MacPherson's Wildmen of the Greater Toronto Area.     Congratulations to the winners!

#SonyPics Employee Business Resource Group DESI hosted their annual Diwali: Festival of Lights event on our studio lot, honoring the vibrant South Asian festival that celebrates the victory of light over darkness. The evening featured a diya lighting, dance performances, henna, and a photobooth, creating a memorable night for community and connection. 

After receiving hundreds of applications from PITCH (Programa Inclusivo de Talento Con Historias), three new emerging writers were selected for a 6-month development program at Sony Pictures Television Latin America: Frida Meza, Jaime Garrido, and Gabriel Ordoñez. They collaborated with writers from our Mexico office on various creative development and technical experiences that provided them with deep insights into the entertainment industry, allowing them to enhance their creative skills and contribute to the creation of more diverse and inclusive stories.
