Liz Holder, SSM Health’s System Director of Patient Experience, has been voted President-Elect of the St. Louis Chapter of the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE). Her two-year term will run from 2026 to 2028. NAHSE provides a vehicle for Black leaders to build community while effectively participating in the design, direction and delivery of quality health care for all people across the country. In her role, Liz will lead programming for the chapter, serve as a mentor and advocate for NAHSE member development, and support the chapter culture of inclusivity and innovation. Oklahoma nurse Rhonda Lippe is turning plastic bags into hope. Outside of her nursing role with SSM Health Medical Group rheumatology clinic in Oklahoma City, Rhonda crochets sleeping mats for the homeless — using recycled plastic bags! With help from her family and SSM Health coworkers, she’s already made two and is working on her third. “I just want to give some comfort and joy to others,” she says. From handing out winter gear to crafting mats by hand, Rhonda’s quiet acts of kindness are making a big impact and at the same time demonstrate our Care for Creation by recycling. Thank you, Rhonda, for sharing your talents in such a compassionate way!

That was the message conveyed by SSM Health and Navitus Health Solutions, the pharmacy benefit management company co-owned by SSM Health and Costco, recently during the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists’ CPO Leadership Forum in Chicago. SSM Health Chief Pharmacy Officer Kristin Cannon (left photo, center) and Navitus Chief Pharmacy Officer Sharon Faust (right photo, center) each spoke on panels and shared how the current marketplace – with the Inflation Reduction Act, tariffs, and rebate models – requires health systems to have a strong PBM partner like Navitus. A PBM such as Navitus reflects SSM Health’s integrated and diversified portfolio, they added, and Navitus’ transparent, cost-effective solutions work together with health systems’ employee health plans and pharmacies to deliver plan savings and optimize patient care.
