Better Together: How collaboration brings out the best in people, technology, and education https://lnkd.in/gX3mhp2t The 2025 Partner Summit made one thing clear: the future of higher education will be built on connection. Across three days, we saw what happens when institutions share openly, challenge thoughtfully, and help each other toward a common purpose—supporting students. What stood out went beyond new ideas or features. It was the generosity of teams learning from one another, the honesty around hard lessons, and the shared commitment to doing things the right way. To every partner who brought insight, energy, and fun to this conversation—thank you. This Summit showed that so much is possible when collaboration leads the way. #StellicSummit25 #BetterTogether

What if higher ed truly centered the learner at every step? Learning mobility offers a framework to make that a reality. This piece by Thomas Black shares how AACRAO's emerging concept of learning mobility can help institutions remove barriers, expand opportunity, and move every learner forward. So wonderful to bring the much needed student perspective to #stellicsummit25. Thank you for coming, Maggie!
FSU Social Media & Communications Intern | Arrowhead Secondary Researcher | Advertising & Writing Student
This past weekend, I spoke on a panel for Florida State University’s course registration system, Stellic, at its 2025 Stellic Partner Summit in Washington, D.C. The panel, titled “If You Really Knew Me,” opened the conference after the keynote. It was a candid conversation, think podcast style, that combined the perspectives of a student, registrar, and academic advisor to uncover challenges, shared truths, and how to become better together. From this panel, I gained empathy for the other roles and spoke to the audience on how to know Gen Z for the unique technological challenges this generation faces, and how to approach it from a mutual understanding of knowing the roller coaster of life (we all have highs and lows). A huge thank you to Billy Garfinkel and Sabih Bin Wasi for having me—it was incredible! Stellic was beyond welcoming. It was also a treat to see members from Florida State University - Division of Undergraduate Studies. If you have a moment, this opportunity came from a fun backstory. In the spring of 2024, I wrote an article for Her Campus FSU detailing how to use Stellic in the wake of its launch at FSU. It was a simple how-to article. I posted the article to LinkedIn, and Stellic saw and reposted my work. A few months later, Billy from Stellic reached out to me to conduct casual interview research to gather my student perspective and story. Stellic is a by students for students brand, so I could not be more ready to help. A month after that interview, I received an invitation to speak at Stellic’s 2025 Partner Summit as the student speaker. I booked a flight for D.C. You never know where your articles, words, or impressions you make on others will take you.

Two big takeaways from this year’s Stellic Partner Summit: 1. As someone who has not embraced AI, I am now excited about what it can do to enhance our work. More specifically, what Stellic is looking to do with AI to help us work more efficiently. It might be the closest thing to magic in higher ed that we have ever had. 2. Stellic lives up to the word “partner.” Throughout the past 3 days, we were often asked: What else can we do? What haven’t you heard yet? What additional critiques do you have? Let us know what issues you are having. Vishwa, write this down! “What I’m learning from this exercise is…” “I think my homework from here is…” - comments from CEO Sabih, as we all worked together in the last session of the day to tackle reporting and data gathering from the system. It is just a different experience, and honestly, it’s pretty cool. #stellicsummit25 #tOSU #partners

What a first day of #stellicsummit25. You could feel the Better Together theme everywhere, from impactful roundtables, partner-led breakout sessions filled with brilliant ideas, and opening up about the unseen inner challenges in our roles. We wrapped it all up with dine-around dinners across DC. Let's see how Day 2 tries to top it!

So excited to be at The #StellicSummit25! I've spent almost 20 years in #HigherEd. Institutions of Higher Learning are one of the few places generational trauma can be transformed into generational wealth. Tools that help our students plan efficiently, economically, and empower them to take control of their journey are important and Stellic is out here changing the game. So excited to learn and help advisors at The University of Oklahoma serve our students! #Academia #Training #AcademicAdvising
