  • As Stonyfield continues to grow, so does our commitment to healthy farms, healthy communities, and our planet. "We will continue to make incredible organic food and build more efficiencies into our processes to benefit our environment." - Bill Cassidy, CEO of Stonyfield Organic Nine new organic farms joined the Stonyfield family in 2024, adding thousands of acres of farmland where we boosted resources to promote animal welfare, protect workers, and maximize the environmental benefits of organic farming. Other new initiatives save energy and manage greenhouse-gas emissions at the farms and our factory. We also continue to push tirelessly for local and national policies that improve organic farming and protect our environment. • An organic farm is just a biiiig garden with cows, if you really think about it 🐮🌱 All you need are empty Stonyfield cups, organic seeds, and some soil and you just… 🎶 put it in, put it in! 🎶 The organic dairy farms supplying Stonyfield work hard to keep their soil naturally healthy, so there is no reason to use harmful pesticides. In fact, organic food standards prohibit the use of over 700 chemicals! 🌎 Share with a parent who will 💙 this. Happy planting!

Here at Stonyfield, we've always been passionate about nourishing young bodies and minds with organic food, so we're absolutely thrilled to work with Ms. Rachel on the 'O is for Organic' program," said Gary Hirshberg, Stonyfield Organic co-founder and Chief Organic Optimist.

  • Storytime 📚 Back in 1983, our co-founders Samuel Kaymen and Gary Hirshberg were running a non-profit organic farming school on a small New Hampshire farm. They were on a mission to help family farms survive, keep food and its production healthy, and help protect the environment.   More than 40 years later and our mission is still healthy 🌎   We’ve always been passionate about planet-friendly business practices—from being one of the first manufacturers to offset emissions to making our own renewable energy, and much more.   In 2016, we became a certified B Corporation to validate how we’re holding ourselves to a higher standard of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability.
